Second time we’d stayed, this time in a front unit top row overlooking the water. Good facilities room very dark. Seriously, this place could do with a renovation. Maybe it’s not possible but a spruce up would be the ticket. Tried the buffet on the first day, the buses in the car park meant we didn’t. Same for breakfast next day, made do with coffee and toast at the bakery. I get the buses it’s great for business. When we made the buffet and breakfast both were good, I would recommend the buffet. Maybe get there early as we did if buses are about.

We stayed here on a driving trip around Tassie and thought the rooms were great. As two couples we booked two Motel style rooms which were up the top and in a quiet location looking out at the bush area behind the motel section. There is a great bar with outdoor terrace offering a panoramic view. They do a buffet with seafood in the restaurant which we felt was a bit expensive at $59 per head for what was not a big selection of seafood in general. On the other hand the buffet breakfast spread was great. We loved the sound of the heavy rain on the roof on our first night and the rooms were good value. The location is great with a stairway down to reception below and a laundry which we made good use of. It is also located next to a hotel with a restaurant and opposite the Gordon River Cruises. We would recommend the village and the rooms we stayed in highly to anyone wanting to stay in Strahan

We drove up the hill to our room .... it was somewhat dated but clean and adequate. Fortunately we were out most days otherwise the room would have been very hot. The car park was often full so parking nearby could be an issue.

Nicely furnished and clean room, if a little orange in decor. We had a room high up which was quite a walk down to the seafront level. Breakfast was an excellent buffet with wide choices. Overall pleased.

We enjoyed two nights at Strahan Village and found the room to be very spacious and the beds very comfortable. The central location was very handy although we still used the car to get around town in the drizzling rain.

The Strahan Village in the centre of town adjacent to the wharf. It is a very comfortable property with all the facilities one expects. Decoration is in the classical style. No dining facilities are provided and we enjoyed eating at nearby Bushman’s and Risby Cove. Coffee and breakfast were readily available at the nearby Coffee Shack. The property is on two levels and it is better to ask for something on the ground level unless you are happy to carry luggage up and down the stairs. Ample parking is available but spaces are not allocated. So, if you are on the ground floor there is no assurance that you will be able to park immediately outside your suite. The Village was a comfortable base for us during our two days in Strahan.

We stayed 2 nights at the Village, so quiet and clean, comfy beds, great location, awesome scenery. No complaints from me every box ticked by this place, would recommend this hotel to family's or couples.

Strahan Village has a wide variety of accommodation from the cute cottages on the Esplanade, to higher harbour view rooms and some more downmarket motel style rooms. We stayed in a Hilltop Standard Room in the Sorrell Wing that looked out onto a garden. It was an older motel room and a little tired but was comfortable enough for two nights. I am pretty sure that the other rooms would have been more modern and nicer. The village is in an excellent position with a quick walk to the pub and the tourist boats. The complex has a nice bar and restaurant area overlooking the town and harbour. We didn't try the restaurant but did take advantage of the two free drinks offered on checkin. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Good sized ground floor room looking across the harbour at fishing and tour boats. Parking outside the rear door. Comfortable bed and good bathroom with walk-in shower.Less than 5 minute walk to tour wharf and restaurants.

Magnificent view, comfortable room, very pleasant bar & lounge with indoor fireplace and outdoor deck for warmer weather, and a timber walkway providing easy access to nearby restaurants, coffee shops, tourist docks and an outdoor theatre, all at the bottom of the hill. There are scenic walks in various directions, and several other sites well worth a visit, including a short walk through rainforest to a beautiful waterfall.
