Ended up here after a night in a charming nearby hotel where the no nonsense firm mattress meant we couldn't sleep! Not much charm here in a more modern hotel but a good night's sleep in a typical and average room. Good breakfast. Hotel is set in an untidy area without redeeming features. You can put up with a lot for a decent mattress!
Everything I would have expected in a Mercure Hotel. Friendly staff, beautiful room, great breakfast. Could not recommend more highly! We stayed for three nights, used the restaurant on two evenings, both meals were fantastic.
I stayed 4 nights during hannover messe 2017 because I am very late to book a hotel room in hannover:) The room is small but has enough space for business trip. The bathroom is good and hygene is satisfactory. There is a small desk and balcony in the room. The view from the balcony is really relaxing. The breakfast is really good. I didn't have a dinner in the hotel so I can't make comment about dinner menu. There is a small and hidden pub inside restaurant; I suggest to drink local black beer. The staff of the hotel is kind. The location is very good as a result I advise everyone mercure hotel for short business trip.
I really like staying here. The staff has always been polite and professional. The rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet is very good. My only complaint is the towels they are rough and stiff. I would like large bath towels to be soft and luxurious not scratchy and rough. Also there are no small hand towels for washing.
Excellent hotel close to the city center, not too far from the train station, very calm. Excellent breakfast choice, attentive staff and welcoming atmosphere. We have even received an upgrade into a better room categorie for free. We would choose this hotel again.
The Mercure is situated opposite the Burgergarten in the centre of town. An excellent location within short walking distance of the town centre. The hotel facilities are excellent and the staff very helpful, the swimming pool is a very welcome place to relax after stressful day.
This hotel was the base for our 5-day mini vacation in and around Hameln. What we liked the most was the spacey and comfortable room (free upgrade from paid Superior to Privilege after the 1st night), very nice swimming pool, Sauna on the 9th floor with a view over the city, and friendly and attentive service in the Restaurant during breakfast. There was a good selection of healthy food and other tasty prepared items. All of the above, along with the choice of filter coffee and freshly brewed Espresso, Cappuccino, Crema, and Latte macchiato, provide for a great start into the day and very comfortable stay. As a frequent traveler and member of the LeClub with Platinum Status I have the opportunity to objectively compare this hotel with many others within Accor Hotels and other well known brands. I do also realize that one who enjoys certain privileges while having Gold or Platinum status can become used to the special welcome and free privileges as advertised by hotels that offer fidelity cards with different levels. What we did not like so much was the initial welcome at the reception that was not as friendly as I usually experienced in other hotels. Other things not so great were - no welcome note from the hotel manager in the room either in writing or on the TV screen, - no small welcome plate, such as a plate with fresh fruit or sweets - Espresso machine with Coffee and Tea pads charged at €2/piece (1st time ever that I have seen this, even with free upgrades). - Only one (1) free Mineral water bottle during the whole stay. The empty bottle remained on the table for four (4) days. - Strong bad odor in the hall way leading to the swimming pool - The Sauna benches were stained and looked / felt as being dirty. On a more positive note, I want to mention the very friendly and welcoming manager. We know that there is no obligation (upon availability) to give a free upgrade and appreciate the choices given by her. In all, this is a nice hotel and we did have a very pleasant stay in spite of the above, for me unusual, surprises. I think that we would go there again.
I stayed for couple of nights at Hameln.. Hotel is located a good place and very close to old city. You can visit the pied piper historical place just 5 mins walk away. Rooms are good and comfortable. Staff is good and quite helpful. Even if you are visiting Hannover, you can book stay at Hameln and take a train to reach the city. Travel time is around 1 hrs between Hannover city to Hameln.
We stayed for 6 days here & found this hotel to be extremely good. Located right next to the city centre (Almost midway between the station & the weser river), you can walk down to practically any part of the old town from here. The staff is very helpful (The ladies at the reception ,were always ready with some tips about sightseeing or some good place to eat around Hameln) & the breakfast spread is probably the best among all hotels in Hameln that I have stayed in. The rooms are not that big, but very airy & get a lot of sunlight & not at all dinghy (Because of its architecture). The sauna on the ninth floor is pretty good. The only reason I'd give this hotel a 4 star instead of 5 is maybe its new kind of architecture , does not fit with the other old structures all around this town. Because of the park right next to the hotel & a huge courtyard next to the city hall, the hotel has a very spacious feel to it & not seem cramped. I'd love to come back here & stay, if I get the opportunity (By the way this is my 13th visit to Hameln & I've stayed in most of the hotels around this place)
We needed a one-night stay on our road trip and chose the hotel due to price, location and serviced included like wifi and breakfast. The parking is not free but easy close by the hotel underground. The location is very close to the historic city centre and the park is just across from the hotel. We were given a very nice big room at the end of the hotel which would have been perfect for a business traveller. Though the wifi connection never really worked well. We had a small balcony which is great in the summer and had we been staying more than one night it would have been a welcoming change to the city itself. Breakfast was very nice and served in a nice restaurant area. In good weather there are tables outside as well which is a great way to start the day. All in all a nice hotel, though the lack of wifi connection does draws down the overall impression (first world problem though!).
