    About this property

Large Farmhouse Located Minutes Outside of Leavenworth on Desired North Rd

Welcome to The Farmhouse on North Road where you can experience the tranquil and charm of this cozy Farmhouse during any all season! Why choose the Farmhouse on North Road? Many locals refer to it as the 'North Road magic'. This south-facing property allows optimum sun from morning to night. It's as if it has its own climate. Clouds that filter over the Enchantment Peaks and Icicle Ridge dissipate and leave North Road sunny and cloudless. The later sun allows for longer lingering on the porch with glasses of wine as the sun goes down behind Tumwater Mountain in the evenings. Come experience this magic at The Farmhouse. In the colder season, the kids will enjoy the downstairs family room on large screen TV watching movies or playing XBOX or kicking back using the complimentary WI-FI. The adults can enjoy time preparing a meal in the open kitchen and dining area talking about the recreation activities or festivals enjoyed that day or the culinary finds from wine to regional foods and specialties found while in town. Although this home is private you are still close to town as it is a short ride into Leavenworth, which is only 8 minutes away. Enjoy outdoor sports in every season including hiking, zip lines, skiing, snowmobiling, sleigh rides, swimming and boating just minutes away! You choose, recreation or relaxation, all the options are available when you choose to stay at the Farmhouse on North Road. If you are interested in booking the Farmhouse on North Road for your next Leavenworth getaway, please send us a copy of your government issued Photo ID must be received within 24 hours of inquiry. That helps expedite our verification of the rental age requirement of 25 years of age and older. Once we satisfy this requirement, we can move forward to send you a detailed rental agreement. Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit, and/or fees, and party will not be permitted to check-in. Falsified rentals include, but are not limited to renter providing false names or ages or any material fact that would normally cause the rental request to be refused. If the Farmhouse receives multiple reservation inquires for a specific time frame like festival weekends and holidays, reservations with the greater length of stay will be given first consideration. Thank you for considering the Farmhouse on North Road and we look forward to hearing from you about when you would like to book your next stay at the Farmhouse.

Perfect for a group Oktoberfest weekend!

We had a fantastic weekend here - there was plenty of space for our large group, and the full home was very comfortable, clean, and welcoming. The location is awesome - a quick drive to town. Between being so close and knowing we were in a comfortable home, our stay here made our weekend even more enjoyable.

        Cozy winter get away

Great place to get away. The property management was very accommodating during our stay and was flexible with changing dates when we had significant snow fall. We would definitely stay again.

We had a pleasant stay at the farmhouse this summer! Great location and great property. Very comfy and cozy. There is a train in the back of the property that goes by a few times a day but it was relatively quiet. It didn't bother any of us. Beware of the strict rules and they want you to vacuum as one of the cleaning procedures for check out. Which we thought was an unusual request. But other than that, we had a great time and I would recommend this place to anyone.

              The Rule House

We were a group of six 60 year old guests staying in the home as a long weekend get-away.This is a nice home and most of our stay was as expected. It was not as clean as we would have liked, but it is the previous guests who do most of the cleaning for you, so it makes sense. There were crumbs of food left on the place mats and some of the dishes had some streaks of food on them, but we just washed them. The bathroom counters downstairs were also not clean, so we cleaned them prior to use. Perhaps we just have high expectations for cleanliness, as we always leave a house as clean as possible! Two other things stood out to us. In the VRBO policies, it states that there will be no cameras in any living space. At this home there are two cameras in the pool area. I would clearly consider a built-in pool, directly outside the back door of the house, part of the outdoor living space, but the owner does not. Although we knew there were surveillance cameras, we had no idea they would be in an outdoor living space, especially in a pool area, where I prefer privacy when swimming and sun bathing. It felt like an intrusion, so if it concerns you that you will be video taped while playing in the pool, or sunning yourself, another house might be better. The last thing that stood out were the RULES! We have stayed in many, many VRBO homes and have never seen so many rules. It wasn't even that the rules were so unusual, with the exception of the cleaning rules prior to check-out, but the rules were written as a strict teacher might write classroom rules, and there were signs to remind you of the rules. I am sure it must be hard for owners to find a way to let guests know their expectations, but rules signs are a bit much. They did provide the six of us with humor during the four days, though! Following the checkout rules was a bit tricky. There are very specific rules about what to do with each piece of laundry, how to strip the beds, how to clean everything, and a reminder that you that you must sweep and vacuum before you leave. Never, in our many years of VRBO rentals have we seen a cleaning list like we saw at this home. We always do everything on the list anyway, but it might be difficult for families to get packed, as well as clean the house as expected. We are rule followers so our stay was fine and, even with the noise from the trains and chickens, we enjoyed ourselves.
