We had a great visit at Comfort Wellington! Our room was lovely and quiet. The staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. Thanks so much!

We had a great visit at Quality Napier! Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Space was good, as was the location! Staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. Thanks so much!

This hotel is located in the middle of the most interesting restaurant and shopping street in Wellington. Fidel's cafe across the street is phenomenal! The hotel is quite large, very nicely renovated and clean. The rooms have a little bit of a spartan feeling, but everything you need is there. There is access to a small gym and a pool. Internet was somewhat sporadic part of the time. This hotel is a great value!

Great location on Cuba street within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, the i-site and the CBD. If you don't mind walking for about 20 minutes you can even reach the ferry terminal. We chose primarily on price and the fact that they had 24hr. reception, which was important with our very late arrival and very early departure times. Nice, clean rooms and good front desk service. Cuba street is full of nice restaurants and bars and is busy and noisy into the wee hours. We could hear the muted noise through the room window. If you're a light sleeper that might be a problem. We were so tired after a day of sight-seeing that it didn't bother us.

I was surprised at the quality of the hotel for the money. Great place for a great price.

Located in the vibrant heart of Wellington - the Cuba quarter, at the doorstep is a melting pot of the Capital's funkiest cafes, best restaurants, boutique shops and art galleries.

This hotel is situated right in the heart of Wellington's liveliest entertainment district, but offers a cozy escape from the chaos. The rooms aren't large by any standard, but the beds are comfy, the ceilings are high, and the shower's have good pressure. To top it all off, the hotel has a rooftop pool and spa (though these are a bit over-chlorinated), and the lobby bar offers fantastic nightly specials!

I was fairly disappointed by my stay during the Wellington Comfort Inn. Just to clarify Comfort and Quality Inns are in a joint venture at this location. The Comfort side of the hotel is a remodeled hostel and it is readily evident. The rooms were small and paired with large metal keys and traditional locks. I would not stay at the Comfort Inn a second time I would however recommend the Quality immediately next door as it has more spacious and modern accommodations.

Without staying at a backpackers, accommodations in Wellington don't get a lot more affordable than this. Keeping that in mind, I found Comfort hotel to be a good value and the location quite good. So, if you are there to see the town, and stay in a clean, safe place within walking distance to everywhere, this could be the right place for you. Its worth noting that things like breakfast, internet, and parking are all extra, so keep in mind this is a budget minded place where you can chose what expenses you think are important. So, if you feel like having a fancy place and living it up a bit, stay at the Museum hotel for roughly double, but if you just want a decent room for a decent price this is a good option.

I travel 4-5 times a year and I have never felt so unwelcome at a hotel in my life. The staff was unnecessarily rude, the rooms were TINY [...]And never have I experienced such a horrible hotel.I arrived a couple hours before check in time, and even though I had just been traveling for 20+ hours I was told (very rudely) by a girl at the desk that they do not do early check in. Then, moments later, I watched the same girl check in not one, not two, but THREE other people, telling them that early check in was not a problem. And I was standing right there with all my bags![...] Finally, I was quite unaware that the hotel locks its doors at night. They had not given me any instructions on how to get in after hours, so I was locked outside for 30 mins in the rain!!! When an attendant finally came to open the doors, he irately scolded me for not knowing how to get in - as if I should have just read his mind. I could not believe that after being locked outside in the rain, an employee of the hotel would actually yell at me, as if I did something wrong!! There are many places to stay in Wellington, and this is NOT one I would recommend.
