Hotel is very good, but location is not that great.
Great, clean, comfy room. Problem with pool though that caused entire lobby to be exceedingly humid and smelled of chlorine. A problem, I'm sure, that was taken care of, but was awful to walk into.

Thank you for staying with us.

Thank you for staying with us. We are centrally located within Waycross and right on the corner of both major highway's that run through this town. All of the hotels are on this one mile strip. Traffic on US-1 is difficult at some points during the day. Hwy 82 runs on the other side of us which is easier to access depending on where you are going.

Hello Alexander, You called and spoke with me yesterday about the "cockroach" also known as the "palmetto bug". These bugs are well known in the Southeast Region (South Carolina, Georgia and Florida). When it starts getting cool outside, they try to find warmth which brings them inside and they can come in through any small opening. After our call yesterday our pest control company arrived for our monthly pest control spray. I had another conversation with him about these "cockroaches" and he stated the same thing. I let you know that we have done as much as we possibly can to prevent these bugs from coming inside. We have removed the mulch and placed rock in our flower beds, and we have a company spray monthly. We do have plants and palm trees around the property in which these bugs will live in throughout the warm months. This bug would have entered the room after the room was cleaned, because our housekeeping staff would have dealt with the bug if found. During our phone conversation you told me that you removed your Do Not Disturb sign from your door, so your room could be serviced after finding said bug. I told you I would speak with my Front Desk Staff and my Housekeeping staff in which I did. I also reviewed our housekeeping boards and the camera footage and on 11/10/2023 and 11/11/2023 the Do Not Disturb sign was on your door. Which means we could not service your room. I also did not tell you that this is normal for Waycross (Ware County). I stated that Palmetto Bugs (giant cockroaches) are common in the Southeast region. I do understand someone should have followed up with you after you made your report, and I apologized several times to you. I was not able to offer any compensation due to you booking through the third-party company and also not being an IHG Rewards Member which I told you as well. I once again apologize this bug was in your room! I have added notes to your profile for future reference, but due to how poorly you scored us for the one palmetto bug in your bathroom, we don't see you wanting to stay with us again. I googled Palmetto Bugs aka Cockroach:Palmetto bugs are a cockroach that is found in the Southeastern United States, particularly South Carolina and Florida. They are often called palmetto bugs because they live in and around Palmetto trees, a tropical plant with fan-like leaves.
