Stayed here for my son's navy graduation after moving from the navy lodge. (Hated it there). I should have booked here to begin with. 10 minutes from the base, large and spacious!!! Very clean and new hotel surrounded by plenty eateries and shopping- including Walmart.

very good experience rooms were clean and comfortable bed

This is a very cozy hotel. The only thing was when next door turn on water, the sound of water running through pipe appeared to be very loud.

Hotel is VERY clean and comfortable. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Bathroom is large. Front desk service is extremely helpful and courteous. Free breakfast gives plenty of options (eggs, waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juices etc.) and tastes great. Pool is a decent size and very clean. Location is great. Walking distance to supermarket and food places like Denny's, Chilis, Chipotle and other decent restaurants. Parking lot is a good size. Free parking. I stayed here for my brother's Navy Boot Camp graduation and loved it and have been staying here for every visit afterwards. Overall great place to stay. Very clean and comfortable! 10/10 and 5 stars!!

Fantastic hotel. Highly recommended. Great breakfast and extremely helpful staff

Everything was great except the pool had too much bleach

Our Daughter is stationed at Great Lakes and the hotel is only 10 minutes away. Very easy to get to. The hotel is extremely clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We've stayed at other hotels in the area and this one by far is the best one.

The hotel was great! Close to restaurants and stores as well as the highway. Beautiful and clean...the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

Staff were nice and pleasant. When we first got the room, we noticed that the bolster pillows on the sofa were dirty and badly stained so we put them out in the hall and maid that was servicing a room farther down the hall immediately replaced them. Sheets on one of the very comfortable queen sized beds were worn thin and had small "wear rips" in it. The bathroom set up was kind of strange as it had the toilet and a sink in one small closet type room and the shower and another sink in another. The shower faucets were behind the glass door and it made it hard to turn them on without getting a blast of cold water right in the face and you couldn't really turn them on without getting in the shower. No tub so wouldn't recommend it if you have kids or enjoy bubble baths or need to soak tired muscles but the water pressure was OK. The room we were in must have been decorated by someone who was color blind as nothing in there matched. Bright green sofa, white on white bed linens, beige curtains and walls and the picture over the sofa was of ugly kitchen tiles in various shades of blue, gray and green. Carpet was badly stained in places. No balcony and as is with all hotels now days, there was no smoking allowed in the rooms and there was no allowance for those of us who do smoke, like a covered area for when it rains or is very hot and we had to sit on the curb on the side of the road. Also no restaurant or room service and the little "market" area was outrageously over priced as were the vending machines. $2.50 for one bottle of soda is highway robbery! Lucky thing there was a Walmart right across the street as there wasn't much else in the area in the way of restaurants! No DVD player was provided and the movies were at least $16.00 each on the on demand channels. Could have hooked up my laptop to gotten movies from a local video store or Walmart but TV was an older flat screen and didn't have the HDMI hookup! Was disappointed that we paid so much for our hotel stay but not being from the area, we chose because of the name. Just goes to prove that labels don't mean anything!

My wife, three teenagers and I were attending a wedding north of Chicago and needed a room with some ROOM!! The suite we got at SpringHill fit the bill perfectly. It was clean, spacious, and very modern looking. Having the shower and sink in a room separate from the toilet (with its own sink) was a blessing when trying to get five people ready for a wedding. It is also located just a few miles from Six-Flags Great America. I don't know why it's only rated three stars on this site.

Welcoming, cleaning and breakfast staff are wonderful to deal with. The room was modern and spacious. Our ONLY negative was one of those foam mattresses that develop craters where others chose to sleep.

Family trip for 4 days at park. Great place to land at night after a long day. Relaxing, comfortable & friendly.

Tim helped me so much! Such a good guy! It's not far from the naval base and only 15-20 minutes from Lake Michigan. Would definitely stay here again!

When I arrived at 12:30 pm I didnt think they were going to let me check in til 3 pm but the lady in the front desk was very nice and polite and found a room for us. There is a Wal-Mart across the street and many eating options. The staff provided us with anything we needed or forgot at home. They even gave us change in quarters for the many trolleys in Chicago. The only issue I noticed was that the cup glasses were dirty and still wrapped in plastic. Oh...and breakfast was DELICIOUS.

Everything was great! Clean room, friendly staff, great breakfast!

Was very close to Gurnee Mills mall where we spent out day shopping. Took us about 10 minutes to get back to the hotel and it was relaxing. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again! The staff was very friendly too and let us check in early.

Front desk staff was very helpful and pleasant. We were there for a NAVY graduation and this hotel is less than 3 miles from the Base which was nice. I did have to ask the house cleaning staff to return and vacuum as the floor needed that but they did so without any complaints. There were no Kleenex so a bit more checking to prep the room might be done. We needed a handicapped room and it was very nice. Buffet breakfast was ample and pretty good, a nice amenity.

COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY STAFF,WE ENJOYED OUR STAY. THE LOCATION WAS IN WALKING DISTANCE TO SHOPPING CENTER,RESTAURANTS AND ENTERTAINMENT

The room was impressively clean, and comfortable. The breakfast station was hot, and well maintained. The gym was clean and had the essentials. But, the front desk staff was not professional, was unable to answer basic hotel question and the bartender was exceptionally impolite. I wold stay again but wouldnt invest in the bar nor would I rely on the staff to help. House keeping and breakfast server were amazing, personable and welcoming.

The rooms was so beautiful and comfortable. We were able to see our daughter graduate from Navy Boot Camp. and rested peacefully.
