We stayed here while visiting our college kid. We got two rooms and asked for adjoining rooms. One of the doors wouldn’t open. That was a little aggravating. The room was clean but dated and needed some upgrades. Beds were comfortable. But they only offer 2 doubles, so very small for 2 people. Breakfast was good, eggs, sausage, muffins, toast, waffles. Check in and check out took awhile because they were having system problems. Our cards wouldn’t go through. We tried three different ones. Finally one room charge went though but not the other. Not sure what they did about the other because we haven’t heard anything. The location is very convenient! Close to college (about a mile) close to restaurants and stores. We will probably stay again in the future.
We are locals & booked a room for the night for our son to have a pool party for his birthday. The facility was great, there was a large area for us to use for the party. The lobby area & bar look updated. The breakfast was amazing and the breakfast staff were very professional & polite! The biggest downside to our stay was that the pool was freezing! Our kids love playing in the pool and since we stayed there specifically for a pool party it really put a damper on things. Most of the kids opted to get out of the pool & sit in their towels because it was so cold. When we spoke to the hotel staff about the temperature of the pool their response was to tell us that they just spent thousands of dollars replacing the heater on the pool........ Other guests in the pool were also commenting on how cold it was as well so I was surprised the hotel staff wasn’t more concerned. On the plus side the heater in our room worked really well so we turned it all the way up to help the kids warm up. When we went to leave the same hotel staff that had no regard for the pool temperature had her vehicle parked in front of the entrance of the hotel to warm up, and even though we were bringing out luggage carts full of stuff to load into our vehicles just sat there in her car and didn’t even offer to move and make room for us to be able to load our vehicles. It looks like the owners of this hotel are trying to make it better but they need to have a talk with their staff and get them on the same page. Maybe they could have the breakfast attendants teach everyone else how to treat guests because they were wonderful!
Woke to a bed bug crawling on one of my friends. We managed to kill it, and upon flipping the pillows over, found another small bug crawling out of the bed. Was the room even cleaned? When asked about how to deal with this situation, the person at the front desk had a terrible tone and said we could either leave or go to another room. When we called to complain the next week, we could not reach anybody, yet hotwire was instantly able to reach them? Sounds like they were avoiding our complaint.
Very outdated, not clean, no trash cans. We stayed for a soccer tournament nearby from Saturday to Sunday. There must have been a huge party Friday night that was never cleaned up; beer bottles, pizza boxes, discarded bras, etc which were still present on Sunday. Staff were not attentive; we called for sheets and blankets for the hide-a-bed and were told to come to front desk, at front desk we were told that they would be delivered within 15 minutes, after the specified time period we went back to front desk only to be told that they would bring the sheets to us. Really terrible customer service.
I recently stayed. The bar and front area have been updated. The room I was in while it has probably not been redone in 5 years was clean, nice flat screen, nothing broken. So I do not understand the woman with the title semi gross. Must be use to staying at the Hilton. So stay at the Hilton and pay the Hilton price. When I arrived with a friend it was about 3pm. There were a few people at the bar so we thought we could grab a quick beer. The bar was not yet open however the gentlemen behind the bar said that he had no register or drawer and comped us a couple of beers. I like this hotel, I have stayed here several times over the years. Would recommend to anyone other than someone thinking they are going to get a Hilton room t the price of this hotel. Again, great value.
This is an older hotel in C.F., and (perhaps because I did not have a reservation and was traveling alone), I had a room way back in the back corner. The room was not simply outdated but outright shabby - chipped bathroom mirror, splintered bathroom door, squeaky bed, and both bathroom lights buzzed audibly when they were on. Out of five lamps in the room, two worked. Immediately after this discovery, I found a spider crawling on the bed. If I had not already unpacked, I would have asked for a different room. I was in town for a funeral so the room fit the mood of the visit. The breakfast was OK.
Most of the time when you are looking for a place in this budget range you get very mixed results, but this hotel was an exceptional value! The staff was very friendly at check-in. The rooms seemed to have been recently updated. The bed was very comfortable. There was a very pleasant tropical fruit smell when I walked in the room. Plenty of room to get some work done at the desk and watch TV from the couch. I grabbed a beer and a chicken gyro from "Against the Grain", the bar and restaurant inside the hotel. The gyro and fries were great and the bartender was very pleasant. The next time I pass through the area I will definitely stay here again!
This hotel needs a real BIG clean-up. That goes for the rooms, conferens and thier facitilities (gym for example) Itś dust everywhare :( Breakfast could be much better. The only plus they get is the beds, and their pillows, that are real good.
We stayed here with some relatives from out of state for a family reunion. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious. We had dinner in the bar and restaurant while we were there, Roxy was amazing, her Moscow mule suggestion was a hit with our entire family and the food was delicious.
We stayed for a convention being held at the same location. The check in was quick with the staff being very nice. The room was large with adequate bathroom space. One bug dead on the tile in the bath area was the only drawback. Pool area is nice. The breakfast had a variety for all types of diets. There was plenty of seating in the large breakfast area. The convention area rooms had good seating and the hotel accommodated for visual aides. The lunch and dinner buffets were good and the wait staff was great.
