During my stay they hosted a wedding and a dinner party, so no room service was given, no special chocolates on the door as advertised, our breakfast order was mixed up with a room order( they did give us the correct omelettes eventually). I was told I would have to pay for breakfast even though I reserved the room with breakfast included. Instead, we were given free parking. The hotel is in a great location and the staff was very pleasant, but I was disappointed in my experience. I don't know if I would return. I might try their other hotel on King Street next time.

Made the reservation and paid through Orbitz months in advance! Arrived after a long day of travel and was told they overbooked and were moving us! Never said sorry-just you don’t have a room. Girl at check in was very rude! We picked that hotel to be walking distance to a special event. Had to then wait for another taxi, load our luggage again and repeat at another place further from our venue! Not acceptable in my book! I would beware of using this hotel!

Disappointed in lobby. Color is awful. Looks cheap now. Used to have a beautiful bouquet of flowers on an exquisite table as soon as you enter. Now it's horrendous with a cheap can of green paint and a desk. Room was still good. Restaurant for breakfast was delicious. Service was great. Ashley, Tasha, and Brook made our stay very good

The renovation of Morrison House has taken away almost all of the history and charm and replaced it with cheap box-like rooms with a failed modern design. Sad.

Great boutique hotel, awesome location, and the most friendly and helpful staff. So easy to walk to the metro and get to great DC sites, restaurants! Great for couples, felt more like a bed and breakfast!

We had the pleasure of spending a week in beautiful Alexandria VA. and this B&B style Hotel has it all! Elegant comfy rooms, excellent food and service, pet friendly and best of all : location ! location ! location!!!!

Probably best described as a boutique hotel, it is in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, convenient to Metro for quick trips to DC. Walking access to a myriad of good restaurants and interesting shops. Free trolley passes by corner. Amenities are adequate but not "over the top". Good value

The perfect stay for a weekend getaway! Impeccable service and relaxing environment. Restaurants, shops, and historical sightseeing. Metro within walking distance. We have made a tradition of visiting Morrison House at least once a year.

Tthe hotel offer everythine neededop notch, restaurant had excellent variety & all the food was the best!Room was spacious, maid service promp 7 acoomodating. Will stay there whenever I visit D.C..

room was very nice. Big comfy king bed! loved the location-- only 7 short blocks from the Metro station and within easy walking distance of several great restaurants. Staff absolutely lovely.

Very cozy and friendly staff. But room service need to be improve

The Morrison House is centrally located in heart of Olde Town. Easy walk to dozens of superb places to eat, coffe shops, antique shops, and pubs. The afternoon wine Happy Hour was a pleasant surprise.

We were traveling to Alexandria for a class reunion[...] The hotel and staff are first rate, but, and this is a nice but, the rooms are rather small for my taste, and the parking situation although I may not be used to it, is rather pricey. $24.95 a day to valet your car, plus tip every time you have to request that they bring your car around for you, so it's more like 35 dollars a day if you go anywhere. Plus the strangest thing we thought was the lack of an ice machine, if you want ice, the staff must get it for you. Which instead of free ice, you now are paying $3 to $ dollars for a bucket of ice, when a liquor store is only $1.50 for a giant bag of ice. Just a few little quarks here and there, but overall, very nice place to stay, clean and comfy.

Great hotel with amazing staff! The room was quaint and comfortable and the hotel was conveniently located in the middle of Old Town. Only 15 minutes walk from the metro station, 10 minute drive from the airport, and 20 minutes from DC, this was the perfect spot to start and end our days. Only downside to this place was that our room was on the bottom floor, so it was a little noisy at times.

We had a great stay with the Morrison House. Staff was friendly and very accommodating, they exceeded our expectations with service. The location is amazing, close to food, waterfront, shopping and the Metro.

perfectly located in old town alexandria----was able to walk everywhere--it was very beautiful and romantic.this is probably the first time i can honestly confess there was not one single thing that i could complain about.everything was perfect.also it is located in a very safe environment.

Overall lovely experience! The staff is welcoming kind and helpful. Especially a wonderful young man, [...]. We hsd a great distance to travel for a Memorial Service and he gave us his personal GPS to use. We are not at all familiar with the DC area so he helped with what could have been a frustating and stressfull commute to Manassas. Thank you [...]!Well trained staff!!

The attention and desire to please could not have been more evident. We were there for our 27th year anniversary and everything was absolutely perfect. They went above and beyond to make our night special and we appreciate their attentiveness.

The property was georgous. The rate was fine for the accomodations. Unfortunately, the ecomony makes it hard for us to enjoy this life style too often. The staff was so nice and friendly and the room was nice and clean.

The location was excellent, the service superb and the room clean with well decorated.
