Horrible cleanliness. I was stung by bed bugs all over and had to take treatment for scabbies. The hotel staff just took my name and address and shrugged it off saying they may send me a voucher in the future.

OK hotel, but not up to Hampton Inn standards. At check-in a sign at the front desk said to let the water run for a few minutes until it gets hot. In my room the sink got to "warm" but the shower never got to usable. The front desk took my info and said they would have the manager contact me, but that fell through. The manager DID adjust my bill accordingly.

The room was nicely furnished. We had a problem with the t.v., but it was taken care of quickly. The pool was smaller than it looked in the picture and the wage was a little cold, but there was a lifeguard and we had a good time. The hot breakfast was very nice and there were a lot of choices.

Great breakfast is served here. They have to-go bags for breakfast if you are leaving before breakfast hours. I would stay here again.

We went to Washington, DC with this trip with 2 elementary kids. This is a good hotel if you are coming North of Washington, highly recommended. It is about a 30 minute drive from this hotel to the Major attraction in the DC, not too bad considering the price, amenities, free breakfast/parking, adequate room space/ref and microwave. The staff are great. Last time we went to DC 5 years ago, we got a hotel in the Washington DC area and the cost is equivalent to 2 days of stay in this hotel for a night of stay in the Washington DC area. The hotel is clean and beddings are comfortable, my family had a good night sleep. Free breakfast are good too, nothing fancy but I love it! You have an option to use the Metro bus from the hotel then transfer within DC area or drive around if you don't mind looking for a parking lot/walking far. Over all our family was very satisfied with our stay considering the price, the distance from the DC area is manageable.

Friendly, efficient personnel. Great hot breakfast. Rooms were very nice. Pool and weight room were very inviting. Great location

GREAT breakfast, nice staff, clean room, comfortable bed. Great value!

I was visiting my relatives living in Washington DC. The location of this hotel was convenient from 495 Capital Beltway and attractions. The room was clean and staffs was nice.

Traveled with husband and two children. Room was very clean and spacious, breakfast was hot and plentiful, staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Kids enjoyed the pool. *Is not within walking distance to metro, as I had been advised. I I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Typical 'Hampton Inn' value. Excellent location for access to 'Metro'

hotel staff fixed a reservation problem well and without hassel. Unfortunately, hotel hallways just were not clean, past the same trash on our floor for our entire stay. Pool water was nice but the room was freezing, was informed by the life guard that the heat was kept off to prevent too much moisture, not real comforting as we frooze while drying off. Breakfast was excellent.

We needed this location, a reasonable price and a clean pleasant place for our holiday stay visiting family at Riderwood Village. Hampton Inn delivered more than adequately on all counts. It isn't perfect because: the 2 bed rooms are doubles not queens, there is a pool but no hot tub, and the warm cookies were always gone by the time we came back to the hotel for the evening. On the plus side, breakfast was served early and was also there even later than promised. The breakfast area was clean and restocked when needed. Parking is free and access into and out of the hotel is relatively easy.

Me and my family were very pleased with this hotel. The rooms were clean and very well laid out. Bed linens and coverings were very clean. Plenty of hot water. Courteous staff.

everyone was so nice, polite enjoyed all that it had to offer, would stay there again

This hotel is slightly more money than others in the neighborhood but everything about it was above average. Staff was great and all very helpful. The restaurant options and nearby shopping plaza made it easy to eat and re-supply. A room refrigerator would make this a 5.

Excellent hotel. Close to metro stop for easy access to the city. The rooms were clean and big enough for my family of four. We enjoyed the pool (with lifeguard on duty) and loved the breakfast. Only complaint was the "low flow" shower head.

My husband and I went to visit our daughter who is attending a summer program at the University of Maryland campus. We chose this hotel due to its closeness to the campus. The location did indeed turn out to be very good, unfortunately though, it was the only positive thing. The front desk receptionist upon our arrival was very curt and unfriendly-the others were nicer. At the time of our arrival, a loud party was in process downstairs. Just as we reached our room, a prankster pulled a fire alarm and we were forced to evacuate our room before even settling in. Our room was small and clearly had not been vacuumed any time lately. The entire parameter of the room had a grey collection of dust. The furniture was old and rickety and our mattress was uncomfortably firm. The bathroom seemed clean. Overall, this hotel was a big disappointment. I wish I had chosen one of the several other hotels nearby even if their prices might have been somewhat higher.

This hotel was a little further down route 1 than the other "university" hotels but still very close. It was very clean and fit the bill for a quick overnight and college visit. Room was on the smallish side but doable for a short stay. There were 3 in our party - 1 adult and two 17-year-olds. Breakfast was awful so don't pick this hotel if it's because you like that breakfast is included! Everything was stale and tasteless and we had to go out to eat anyway. Other than the food situation, it was perfectly fine and certainly fit our needs.

I was at the University of Maryland visiting a student. The hotel location was excellent. The staff was very welcoming and polite. The room was clean and well sized-there were three adults and we were all comfortable.

arrived to check in then left hotel for evening. returned after midnight to stay. checked out in the morning after having continental breakfast in lobby. Thought hotel was nice.
