It was pleasant...great location. Really liked our suite.

I was traveling with my sister, my 2 yr old niece and my 86 yr old grandmother. On the second night of our stay, we returned to the room at 2:30am from a long day of driving back from NY. I went to the restroom and found cockroaches walking up the wall under the sink. We requested to be switched to another Comfort Inn hotel, but because we booked our reservation thru Orbitz, they did not help us in any way. They told us we had to contact them. They did offer to switch to another room but that was not going to make us feel comfortable at all. As we were talking to the front desk person a cockroach was walking on the counter and still they would not help. Please be cautious if you stay there. There is a reason why it's affordable. Regardless of were or how you booked your stay, they should have been more accommodating. There was no way were were going to be able to sleep if we stay in that hotel. We left, and until 4 am we were in our rental car looking for an available hotel until we found The Hampton Inn and they were amazing. They were very accommodating and understanding. Good luck to the future customers!

The hotel was nice, good location, but very noisy due to our room was right above the lobby and next to the elevators. The staff was very nice and helpful, check in was very easy.

Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Thr staff was courteous oy was just not enough on duty

Clean comfortable room. Good breakfast buffet Welcoming staff

The hotel was very nice. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The buffet was the same everyday with enough variation of foods

Close to Washington, DC, would stay there again. We wanted to book a bus tour and see a few more of the historical sights but due to our time schedule we were unable to stay, which means we will return to D.C. area in the near future.

Nice, clean room. Pool temperature was perfect. Only negative, was that there was only one working elevator. Other than that...it was a great experience.

Very convenient location. We loved visiting old town Alexandria and enjoyed the walking ghost tour of historic buildings. Easy access to interstate system allowed us to visit DC attractions and harbor district. Close to shopping and restaurants however, hotel did not have restaurant, but offered great hot breakfast buffet. Small convenience store with limited choices for snacks and beverages. Front desk staff very informative and pleasant to talk to. Property was clean and well kept with comfortable rooms including fridge and microwave for preparing own treats.

I did not realize hotel did not have a restaurant and there weren't any within walking distance. Had to get own transportation whenever we wanted to eat. Shuttle would only take us to Metro stop. Breakfast was OK except whenever demand was high they ran out of food and only had one staffer to replenish and caused a long wait for food adding to the inconvenience.

Just needed a room for one night. Room was as expected, simple and clean. Great value considering cost of similar rooms in the area.

good hotel ,location and service and amenities and nice breaksast

The room we had was on the eighth floor overlooking the front of the hotel and South Van Dorn Street. As there was ample outdoor parking spaces, we were able to park in a spot at the front of the hotel where we could keep an eye on our vehicle from our room. Street noise could be heard in our room, but pulling the blackout curtain eliminated that noise. The floor was quiet the two nights we stayed there. Our room was clean and the air was fresh. The air handler was noisy when running, but maintained a level temperature. A microwave, a compact refrigerator, a coffeemaker, an iron, a blow dryer, and safe were available in our room. Hot water to both the sink and shower was abundant although the water pressure was less than forceful, at least by my standards. Both elevators were very fast. The breakfast was free, tasty, and consisted of the usual sweet pastries, cereal, juices, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy with a nice addition of three Belgian waffle makers available for use. Check in and out was smooth and painless as the staff was attentive and professional. If I would have one complaint, it would be that the driveway to the parking lot of South Van Dorn Street comes up abruptly if one is driving south on Van Dorn with the flow of traffic; and one will need to cross three lanes of oncoming traffic to get to the driveway if one is driving north on Van Dorn Street. Traffic on Van Dorn Street moves quickly making less aggressive drivers pale at the idea of leaving the driveway and venturing forth. Our stay was a pleasant experience, and we would consider staying here again..

This was a better-than-average Comfort Inn. The breakfast area converts to a restaurant at night with a fryer and a flattop. Burgers/wings/fries/etc. The food is not great but priced accordingly, and it's convenient if you want to stay in. Breakfast is what you'd expect. The staff was great and the room was clean.

Nice clean accommodating. Unusual way of service at breakfast - probably a local custom

I was very surprised by the new decor and how large the pool was

Everything was great until the elevator stopped working, but the staff came to the rescue and saved the day....in all we had a very nice stay!

My kids and I enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the hotel location was exactly what we needed.

The Hotel and staff was really great. I came in late around 2:30 a. m. and they still kept my room. The shuttled you to and from the metro station, The breakfast was better than expected. it wasn't just coffee and donuts or pastries, they had Waffles, cold cereal, muffins, bagels, juices and milk. I thought it was a great value, I will be staying there again when I visit Washington DC.

I called to ensure I would be able to have an early check in for the upcoming trip and was told no problem. When we arrived I was told I would have to wait. The Staff member promptly found us a room ( after I explained I called ahead). The room unfortunately was disgusting. There was hair in the bed and food on the floor. I contacted the front desk and was immediately given a new room. Before unpacking I inspected the room and was happy. Its not that easy to enter and exit during rush hour but, all in all it was ok.

I am very sorry for your experience and assure you this is not an normal occurance and we have had a pest control company treat the room and all adjacent rooms to ensure there is no repeat. I am sorry to correct you but we told you we would be happy to give you a full refund of your entire stay but you paid Orbitz, not us so you needed to contact Orbitz as they had to do the refund to your credit card which has been done. There was no way for us to switch your reservation to another hotel regardless of how it was booked because we only operate this hotel. Comfort Inns are not all owned by the same company so that just is not possible. Again, we are sorry for your inconvenience due to this problem. Scott McEwan General Manager
