Americas Best Value Inn

1.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

This was only rated 1.5 stars so we expected the worst. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to a recently renovated room. We were in town for the Newport Marathon and everything else was booked up. We were given a cabin with two double beds that were comfortable, with crisp white sheets and classy throw pillows. It had an armour with hangers, spotless microwave and refigerator. There was a brand new sink and cabinets. I would highly recommend this hotel.

staff were unfriendly towels were limited and there was no plug in the bathroom which I found strange and had to use the hair drier plug by the TV far from the mirror in bathroom which was the only mirror in the room. Also the shampoos etc were the smallest bottles I have ever seen Very fussy about no smoking (I am a nonsmoker) but not so fussy about accommodating guests It was very overpriced considering location and the room itself

We were looking for a hotel that was decent in price and good to stay. This hotel is great, it is little far from providence but then again once you travel far the rates go down. The hotel was really good, nice and clean. Almost everything has been renovated in the room from bed frame to bathroom cabinets and even in main room too. Normally people say you get what you pay for but this was more than what you pay for. The couple that owns the hotel is super nice and friendly, we checked in wicked late but they showed us to the room made us feel welcome. I would definitely recommend this place if you dont mind a little drive out of the way.

This hotel (several cottages and a strip of motel rooms) is a bit worse for the wear. Sheets, towels and room were clean, but the blanket and bedspread were old and stained, and the room had a slight moldy smell. The staff was very friendly.

The site gave wrong info about the hotel. We were there for my best friends wedding and they had to leave on their wedding night because they were having allergic reactions to their room! Not staying here again.

Despite having a print out of my reservation, the manager tried to argue how many people per room I had reserved. The fridge set up was nice but the hair dryers, and AC didn't work, it got pretty uncomfortable. Not horrible for merely a place to sleep.

Very old, small room, very loud a/c unit two feet from bed, no closit, tiny old bathroom, it was clean but we would never consider staying again!

Just believe the review. We have pay $13.00 more for upgrade to seperate unit, because we found the mosquitos in the connected room. We found the long hair on the pillow case, and dirty spot, So we requested changed the pillow case. The seperate unit's only one good thing was very quiet at night.

This was closer to the Bates Motel than anything I expected via the reviews here. Our room was a small cabin, which was dingy but appeared to be clean. Florescent lights, a television that didn't work, and a shower that was just a dribble of water (the lever for switching from tub to shower didn't work, so 90% of the water went onto our ankles instead of our heads) made this a truly bad experience. For $40, maybe, but for $100 this was truly exorbitant. I'm furious about what I got for the money I spent.

i have stayed at cheeper places that had more

The receptionist was friendly and ready for me. She gave me a few suggestions for places to eat and directed me to my room. It was a small cabin, not what I expected but very clean and private. I was able to sit outside and write. No one bothered me and I felt extremely safe. Check out was at 11 and was absolutely painless.

We picked this hotel because it was the least expensive in the area where we planned on attending other events. For the short stay and just to sleep it was ok.

We were greeted by a female host who had hair dye on her head. The rooms (3) we were given were so damp and mildewy that my chest immediately burned and breathing became difficult. I am recovering from a life threatening pulmonary embolism and these conditions were substandard and dangerous. We could not stay there. The owner would not release us from payment on these rooms. We had to go elsewhere and were stil charged for these rooms. They should be visited by the health department.

This hotel was not very clean and smelled like mildew. When you shut the bathroom door there was mold and dirt on the wall. when you turn the bathroom light on it sounded like you were going to take off.

When we checked in management was rude and offensive. The room we got the drawers were falling apart the remaining drawers had to be covered with garbage bags so that our clothes would be clean.throughout our trip the managers son keep knocking on the doors to play with our son.At about 9:00 we finally said that we were leaving to go somewhere so that we would not be distrurbed. The hotel had only a shower wasn't very big at all, and there was no pool or breakfast facility.

This Inn was very comfortable, clean and friendly. It was one of those singe cabins, which was our first time in one. We would stay again.

Room was comfortable'but the little things were missing such as facial tissues, clock radio, TV remote not working, refrig needed defrosting, bathtub in the bedroom.

I really liked the room we were given, it was a private cabin type behind the motel. Everything was clean and comfortable. It was a good location for us to visit all the areas from.

We did not want to spend a great deal of money and needed to be near Newport. We chose this venue because it was reasonable and very basic. The room was in a little cabin, but it was very clean and well cared for. It had a clothing rack and a refrigerator. The carpeting was new and everything worked properly. The location was good because it was on a main road and was close to shopping.
