I have stayed at this hotel many times and always found it to be comfortable with friendly staff and excellent breakfasts . We were shocked to see it covered in scaffolding and netting when we arrived on the 20th of December for a two night stay. We had booked some months ahead so we felt rather aggrieved that we hadn't been warned. The room was fine and the staff helpful but sad as they were all being made redundant. It was the MOST peculiar experience to stay in a hotel which was barely functioning and being packed up around us.No apologies or discount were offered. It could have been handled better by the management .
Very good hotel bit disappointed as no log fire due to rebuilding work. Very good staff very knowledgeable. Excellent value for money. Room was excellent bar was adequate staff very polite and helpful
This is a lovely hotel. It is undergoing renovation at the moment but the potential is clear to see. Staff are very good and breakfast staff were really engaging. The Christmas market added to the appeal. A very good location is a real bonus. If there is a negative it is the car parking charge, which given the renovations should have been suspended.
I have stayed at the Falcon many times over the years. I find it a comfortable Hotel.' The staff are friendly and helpful, whether it be at Reception or in the Breakfast Room. The bedrooms are clean and inviting. Very pleasant to sit in the Garden on a nice day. The staff at the Bar I also found friendly. The hotel is very conveniently situated in the town. I strongly recommend The Falcon.
Clean hotel and very comfy room. Excellent breakfasts. Not happy that we got hit with a £10 parking fee upon arrival it would have been better if that was part of the booking process. Also the lift wasn’t working so being on the 2nd floor was a struggle. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.
This hotel is in a superb location for all that Stratford has to offer. Easy walking distance to all shops restaurants and theatre. We stayed on the last weekend before it was closed for ahead for major refurbishment so everything had to be judged with this in mind.
Excellent location and value for money. Simply parked the car and was in the centre within a minute. Hotel is currently being renovated, but didn't cause any isses at all. The plans for the hotel look fantastic, I'm afraid that the price may increase and become a little high for us? Time will tell, if not, we'll certainly return.
The location is amazing, very central and just a few minutes stroll to riverside and the theatre. The room size is amazing and the bed very comfy, a huge window ensures plenty of natural light. There are a few plug points however none at bedside which bugs me as I use my phone alarm and tend to charge my phone overnight, which means having to get out of bed straight away to turn the alarm off so kiss the snoozes goodbye. The hotel is undergoing a major refurb, meaning there are workmen on site during the day however it never bothered us during our stay as we were out while the work was going on and obviously there is no work happening at night. The front of house staff are excellent and the onsite parking is very good value for money and handy at £5 for the 24hr period. There are a couple of small issues that should be addressed however. Due to refurb the restaurant is only open for breakfast which we went elsewhere as there are plenty of local cafes that do good breakfasts for £5 rather than £12.95! also there is a weatherspoons a short stroll away called The Queen Bee that serve good food from breakfast to evening meal at good prices. The other issues were general housekeeping which may or may not be sorted with the refurb, there was a bolt sticking out of the bath panel which could be quite nasty if you caught your leg on it and the other thing was thick dust on the back of the fixtures such as the loo roll holder. Even with works happening and if the hotel was a lower star rating |I would expect a clean room and bathroom, it's a basic expectation. I would love to go back once the refurb is complete though to see how the changes turn out.
The hotel is very well positioned and close to all of the tourist attractions such as the RSC and Shakespeare’s birthplace. There are also great pubs close by and lovely gift shops. The Falcon hotel staff were friendly and helpful at all times
Very happy with our stay and all of the staff were very helpful and polite. The only thing we would say is that we were very surprised that dogs were allowed in the rooms. Wouldn't be happy if we had to have a room that an animal had been in plus the fact that not so good when the dog barks.
