The heater wasn't working in the room. however everything else was as expected. The room is extremely functional.
A very welcome greeting on arrival- fast check in and free parking upon registering car with the hotel. very clean rooms. Had everything we needed including hairdryer, complimentary shower wash/shampoo and handwash. Free wifi in all rooms, and a small selection of toiletries to purchase from reception if needed. Bed was very soft, but apart from that, rooms are spacious and the hotel is quiet as the hotel is situated slightly back from the service station facilities. Good place to stay.
On journey from Newcastle Upon Tyne back to our home 5 miles north of Southampton hit a pot hole and had front tyre blow out on A46 by Warwick Parkway turn off. We were shaken up and decided to stay the night at this hotel before returning home. Went to reception duty manager offered to call a paramedic to check me out!! Ended up being driven to Hospital for check up. Duty manager moved my car over to the Hotel Car park. When we got back to the Hotel after midnight they put us "disabled room" as it had call cords if I needed help overnight. Great helpful, caring staff. Room was clean, good size, bed comfortable, furniture to the standard expected - good value.
Nice hotel, very clean and room warm and comfortable. Staff were excellent, friendly and informative about the area. Convenient to explore Warwick and Stratford, and close to Birmingham airport. Didn't eat at the hotel so I cannot comment on the food, but of course the services nearby provide some choice.
Late night arrival, and the check in was slow and muddled. Once in though, my room was fine,; warm and comfortable. I've stayed here before, and at Northbound across the motorway, and somehow Southbound always seems to be the smaller, slightly less organised motel, and this was the same this time. Against that though, it was a good price, and convenient, so I'd go back again.
This is the first time my wife and I have used a Days Inn but definitely not the last, we did not expect 5 star luxury, but for the price we could not fault the hotel in any way, and the location was excellent.
On yet another journey South the Wanderers decided to break our journey and spent the night here. At first glance the hotel’s car park may appear full especially if you arrive late in the evening as we did, don’t let this put you off as you’ll probably find spaces hidden behind vans etc. If the car park is full you can use the main service station car parks but you will need to give registration details etc to reception and ensure all your belongings are secure and out of sight. Check in was fast and efficient but do remember that once you’ve checked in you are on your own! We were told where our room was and left to find it ourselves which whilst it was no hardship for us, it may have been for someone unfamiliar with the English language and or who couldn’t read. No help was offered with luggage; again not a problem for us but it could be for a family struggling with young children, older folks or those with a medical condition. The rooms themselves were fine, clean, and functional if a bit minimalist. The bed was comfortable, there was Freeview TV, a drinks tray and a hairdryer plus free Wi-Fi. The en-suite bathroom was adequate and came with a decent supply of towels plus some hand/body/hair wash. Breakfast is not included and the hotel doesn’t have any eating facilities on site (in the same building) however, there’s lots of choices available in the service station complex literally a minute away. They include Starbucks, Waitrose, an Eat In Restaurant, Burger King and KFC. A couple of things to beware of! They are some dedicated smokers rooms so state your preference when booking/checking in otherwise if you are non-smokers like us you could end up inhaling someone else’s stale smoke – not pleasant! This hotel is also pet friendly so you can bring up to 2 pets with you but you will be charged £5 per pet per stay. If your little treasure(s) were to have an accident you may be charged a £75 sanitation fee too! All in all it’s not a bad place to stay for a night or if you don’t intend to spend much time in your room, just remember that it is essentially budget accommodation no matter how it’s dressed up. Finally rooms are reasonably priced and you can expect to pay around the £40 - £50 per night if you book in advance. For anything above this price its worth checking out Days Inn Warwick North M40 (the other side) as for some reason best known themselves Days Inn Warwick North M40 tends to be a bit cheaper and in our experience it doesn’t inconvenience those heading South that much.
Really friendly and helpful reception .room clean and comfortable .excellent value. Best bit about days inn..only charge 5£ for dog unlike £20 at other places .strangely I can't find tick. box for bringing dog on booking form or indeed the price for this so i always note. In the requests box oh yeah wi fi is free !
absolutely loved staying friendly staff very clean and a good selection of food next door .the price was really good aswell
We stayed here as a base for a weekend break to Warwick and surrounding area. We arrived quite late, the member of staff greated us and was welcoming. Check in was quick and smooth. We had asked for a extra quilt and pillows which was already in the room waiting for us. The room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Free wifi which was quick. Tea and coffee facilities. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights rest on both nights. Convenient location for us too. Will stay again.
