Stayed just one night with WI friends (all 35 of us) and had dinner there too. Not a single complaint from anyone - just praise for the delicious food, very comfortable rooms and very helpful staff. Looking for a reason to revisit!

What a little gem! Organised a trip for a group of ladies (35), we took over the hotel i think! Very welcoming, very good rooms and excellent food. All the group were very impressed with the hotel and the staff. Jayne welcomed us and made sure we were all comfortable. I will certainly use this hotel again.

We held a celebration lunch for our Golden Wedding on 28th September. Jayne, the events organiser, made us feel special throughout the process. The conservatory room was perfect as was the food and service. All felt very professional and it was a wonderful day.

Lovely old building, very disappointing inside, very dated and in desperate need of a paint job, our room was small, dated with broken furniture, the bathroom was ok but a towel had a nasty stain on it, the biscuits had been opened,we told them and they said they’d replace them but didn’t.The room was stuffy with no air con and you couldn’t open a window so we slept badly with no air, in the morning I couldn’t find a hairdryer so my husband asked at reception,he said he would ask housekeeping to bring us one, it never arrived so I went to breakfast with wet hair.I couldn’t wait to leave this hotel, it’s in a nice location but definitely not worth the money we paid for it .

I stayed here for 2 nights while attending a training course. The room was very dated! The bed was made up of 2 single beds pushed together with a gap in the middle. The curtains did very little to block the light as there were huge gaps all the way round! The 2nd night I went to the pub in Barford with some colleagues for dinner. When I returned to the room 3 hours later I noticed the slippers I had put neatly by the door had been kicked apart which I thought was odd. I took off my necklace to return to the box I'd left on my dressing table. When I left the box contained a necklace and a pair of earrings, however, these had gone! I went to reception to report the theft. She asked if I'd locked the door before I left, which as it is a self closing door was a pointless question, plus who doesn't lock their door before they leave! She then asked if the door was locked on my return, well yes as it doesn't stay open! She said no one has access to room but would get duty manager. She returned a few mins later and said he wasn't available. She really didn't seem bothered! I reported the theft to the police, but didn't sleep all night as felt unsafe! The only consoling thing about this trip is that the jewellery had been in a hot diamonds box, but it was luckily just some fairly cheap H Samuel stuff. Obviously the thief thought the cubic zirconia was the real deal! I hope they try to pawn it as they will be in for a huge shock 😂

Booked via a Travelzoo offer and it is in a lovely village with easy access to good places to visit. Although the hotel needs a little tlc - it is great value for money and the room was lovely. The staff are extremely welcoming and very helpful. Enjoyed out stay very much.

What a little gem. The staff are all lovely .Our room was so peaceful & so comfortable. The breakfast delicious. Bar food was excellent on our first night & a nice touch of a complementary glass of wine for our anniversary. Only one thing I would comment on is that it would have been nice to have a couple of bottles of water left along with the tea & coffee tray.

Staff very helpfull, amenities good, food and wine expensive. There was a wedding party on the second afternoon of our stay, the noise from the bar and terrace and disco was very loud. The disco stopped at 12 pm but the bar stayed open all night, if you book ask if there is any functions planned during your stay.

Really helpful staff, Jayne bookings manager helped me arrange rooms, dinner etc for all our family needs. We enjoyed use of the pool, the food was super as was the restaurant service and a walk through the village is just lovely.

We went for afternoon tea with a Virgin Experience voucher. The location of the hotel is lovely, the village of Barford is very pretty, and the hotel has plenty of kerb appeal. The staff were all very nice and seated us earlier than expected. We upgraded to the Prosecco afternoon tea and just paid the difference. The garden room was sooooo hot, a couple of doors were open as the air con didn’t appear to be working properly. Several other customers had to move tables as it was too hot sitting by windows but we stayed where we were and sweated it out. The sandwiches were ok with 4 finger slices each (although we couldn’t eat the salmon ones as they were slimy), as were the little desserts. The best part was the fruit scones which were very nice with clotted cream and jam. After 40 minutes we decided to leave as it was just too hot to sit in there any longer and the staff had not been back to ask if we needed more drinks or even if the food was ok. In my honest opinion the food was ok and the staff were pleasant, but the hotel is a little dated and we noticed cobwebs and rotten wood around the double doors by our table. We have done other afternoon tea experiences at several locations in Warwickshire and unfortunately we definitely didn’t think this one was worth the money. Although we would visit the village again we wouldn’t go back to the hotel.
