Returning guest staying two nights at this Holiday Inn. Comfortable stay. Everything clean and tidy with courteous staff. Aircon in our room was very temperamental, but apart from that, everything was good. Nice swim, jacuzzi, steam and sauna in the morning which was quite refreshing. Free wifi in rooms was an added bonus.

Very handy located just off junction 10 of the m6 well signed posted, clean nice hotel with comfortable bar are serving a small selection of beers, was a little noisy the night I was there due to a large group playing pool but not the hotels fault at all, room was what you come to expect from a holiday inn but one disappointment was not tea and coffee make facility's in the room,

I guess you know what to expect with a holiday inn. It was ok. The room was noisy but the beds comfy. Breakfast was ok hot items not that hot but we ate quite late in the service. Don't get confused there are 2 holiday inns on the same junction.

I checked in no problem and the receptionist was very polite. The room was clean apart from a couple of dirty hand prints on the wall behind to loo. I ordered a gourmet burger from the bar menu £13 ish and upgraded to a deluxe which sounded very tasty for £3 ish . When my burger arrived after about 20mins I wasn't that impressed. The burger was dry and it was served on a bread board. The deluxe upgrade left a lot to be desired as the potato rossti which was described was just a hash brown ,and a single onion ring were covered in BBQ sauce . The chips were straight from the freezer! I didn't finish it. I decided to retire for the night and get some sleep but I had no chance ! My room was situated on the ground floor and the room above me must of been full of kids as they jumped and ran around all night, This was as well as doors banging and people running through the corridors! The breakfast the next morning was a lot better and I couldn't fault it ! Everything was well cooked and hot. I probably would stay here again but I would recommend that if you do you ask for a room on a upper floor away from the bar/ restaurant area.

Booked this as a part way point on way to Devon. Price for 2 adults and 1 child was excellent value for money. Room was clean and spacious. Has small swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym - jacuzzi didn't seem to be working but pool was fine for a splash about . Breakfast was really nice and staff very friendly. If you're a runner and there on a Saturday, do Walsall parkrun, just down the road and very flat!

The general public areas are well kept but it was apparent from the filthy state of the door behind the reception desk that this was going to be the standard of the house keeping. Corridors leading up to the room had stains and litter. The bathroom in the room had not been cleaned properly with again litter on the floor and the toilet was dirty. The tiles on the floor were lifting and the whole mouldy smell made you feel dirty even after showering. The whole place in lack of general care and maintenance.

Stopped at the hotel after the 10th leg of our 200 mile charity walk. Staff were friendly and attentive. Had a good evening meal. Rooms were clean and tidy and had everything in that we needed. Had a good night's sleep in the comfy beds. Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of choice. If back in the area would stop here again. Thanks to the hotel for all their help and support

The rooms were clean, a few stains on the carpet but replacements are obviously a bit much to ask for, the layout of the rooms were large and nice. Although not the fault of the hotel, kept awake by screaming children and shouting adults. The sofa bed provided was incredibly uncomfortable and flimsy and sank in the middle making it nearly impossible to sleep on, meaning I spent an hour using pillows, cushions and the thin mattress provided to create a sleeping space on the floor which was difficult but more comfortable than the bed. The staff were friendly but a bit slow which meant checking in took a while. There was only one robe and not enough towels which made it a bit irritating for 4 people staying in one room. It was satisfactory to say it served its purpose but it wouldn't be my first choice if I stayed in the area again.

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay here, the room was clean and the beds very comfy. I arrived late they reopened the kitchen so I could have some food. I eat in the restaurant on the second night it was super lovely food. What struck me was how friendly and helpful the staff are amongst the best I have come across within UK. The only negative was the pool spa area it's badly in need of an maintenance programme it's a great asset so why let it slip

We usually stay st the village hotel which is wonderful but due to no availability we stayed here. We have stayed in many HI which are generally consistently high quality, however this one is disappointing. The bar - very bright, open and not very relaxing. One person serving behind the bar, long queues. Other staff seemingly wondering around the restaurant area with not much to do, yet none offered to help the bar staff. Dirty glass given. The other had a big crack down the side. Rooms - large in size, tiny bathroom, dirty towels, shower curtain, tiles and shower head rail 'fell off' the wall with the shower head. Only one mug left in room and one glass. Rooms are noisy, children running up and down corridors, doors opening and closing etc. Need to improve the soundproofing. Hotel - hotel reception staff are pleasant and check in was quick. Wouldn't take much to bring this hotel back in line with the rest of the chain, just a bit of upgrading, maintenance and TLC.
