I set up this hotel for a new employee. He reported it was a very nice place to stay and he loved the location as he was able to walk anywhere he wanted to go.

We've been staying at this motel for years when we go to Walla Walla, long before it became a Red Lion. We always referred to it as the cinder block motel, a visually uninteresting place. It was clean and provided a convenient place to stay when visiting the wineries in downtown. The front desk staff were not always up to par. Red Lion has taken over, painted the outside and inside of the motel with an odd combination of colors and added an extra check-in person at the front desk--even so, the check-in process was still painfully slow, not helped by the fact that when we were checking in at 3 pm were told to come back in an hour since our room was not ready. A 4 pm check-in is painfully late. However, we always stay here when in Walla Walla for a quick trip. It is clean and comfortable in spite of it very dated appearance and architecture--sort of a trip back to the 60s with a fresh coat of paint. And the rates are extremely reasonable. I recommend it. If only the housekeeping staff were faster at their job.

This property appears to be a renovated Motel 6 or Super 8. It was clean but the room was small. For one night it worked fine for us. However, I do not believe it was worth the cost because it did not live up to the standard that I would expect from a Red Lion.

Front Desk staff was excellent, but the building and breakfast service are horrible. This building needs to be torn down and re-built. I love Red Lion /RL hotels any where else but this building, rooms and amenities are straight out of the movie Casino from the 70's. We only stayed as a last resort due to all other hotels being full. Location is good, close to walking distance downtown, Mill Creek Brewery and Safeway but that building, it's set-up, hidden doors, treacherous steps for the elderly must go.

Well located right in between downtown and Whitman college, this hotel makes your visit to Walla Walla very walkable.

We always stay here when we come to Walla Walla. The rooms are sufficient and clean and the location is great. This time we were looking forward to a dip in the pool with the temperatures in the 90s. When we got there, the pool was a nasty green color, so we skipped that. The beds are comfortable but the air conditioner is kind of loud.

Bed very comfortable; room and bath very clean. Outside walkways and entryways need some serious care.

The room was precooled which was appreciated as the temperatures were in the 90's. The hallway was hotter than outside as it did not have circulating air. The exterior door is kept locked but does not close completely unless the handle is jiggled and is pulled to. The staff were appropriately friendly and extremely helpful. Offering suggestions and information before being asked. The pool is enclosed in an inner courtyard/outside and out of view of the public. Continental breakfast unknown as I left all days at 0530.

This hotel is old and tired, but cheap and convenient. We were delayed checking in due to inadequate staffing.

You could have breakfast at the hotel, but Walla Walla Bread Company has the best breakfast and pastries in the world. T Maccarone's is a great place for dinner. Walla Walla Clothing Company has everything a girl could every want. We love Walla Walla. It's like a big city in a small town. If you are a hiker, Bennington Lake is a beautiful spot.

bathroom was dirty: faucet was covered in residue, toilet bowl not clean. No room service first night. Did not replenish cups for coffee. No drinking cups provided at all.

Rooms are nice and comfortable. Breakfast was pleasant. Convenient to campus and downtown. Be prepared for street noise.

Affordable hotel in downtown Walla Walla- older hotel but reasonably good facilities and good staff. If you're after a luxury experience look elsewhere but if you want a decent place to stay and be within walking distance for shops/ restaurants/ tasting rooms it's a winner

Very clean and comfortable since the remodel. Television service was terrible. Not the hotel's equipment but the cable provider's. Cable box had to be reset 3 times in 2 days just to change channels.

Awesome price compared with the other hotels. Walking distance to downtown main street. Very comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast. The rooms are clean. Nice pool and gym.

Book this room on a very last minute while I was in town visiting my family and fiends. The price was a little HIGH (for the location) since it is right next to a cheaper buy but over was impressed with the look n style of the room. To my surprise the room was very roomy and super comfortable. The front desk did say something about it being a suite and handicapped at the same time, LOL idk how that works! But over all it was a n OK buy. I do want to say that if it wasn't for my O bucks that i had accumulated then I wouldn't have made this reservation since it is on the steep side for a last minute room in Walla Walla.

Attractive, excellent location. There were crumbs on the floor and the outside bedspread had dirt marks on it.

I went when it was the walla walla vineyard inn. I got a great price and the biggest single room. It was comfortable and nice. Perfect for a cheap hotel and it's right near downtown walla walla and Whitman college. The value for the money was exceptional.

This newly remodeled motel is a great value in a terrific location. The room was freshly painted (not my choice of colors, but fresh and cheerful), The bath was redone in granite, the pool sparkles and the staff is friendly and efficient. The location can't be beat, only a block away from the center of town with good restaurants and shopping. The air conditioning was great, we arrived on a very hot day and the room was cool and very quiet. The price was unbelievably low, I think it was the second lowest in town, so the fact that this also included a decent continental breakfast made it all the better deal. We left prior to the start of the breakfast hour, and the nice lady at the desk opened the room for us so that we could get a muffin and a cup of coffee to go. So nice to have staff who treat you as family. Great value and we will stay there again.

The motel appears to be in transition. Plants are overgrown, grass is dead, pool appears to be out of service and dirty. Building is in need of maintenance, both inside and out. On the plus side, the carpet seemed fairly new, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom/sink areas seemed clean and functioned well. The motel is also close to the center of the historic downtown district.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am glad that we met your expectations with our clean and comfortable rooms and wonderful staff. However, I am using your review to make sure that we get our exterior crew on board with our continued goal of excellence. I hope that next time we can exceed instead of meet your expectations.
