I had selected this hotel because it offered a Free Breakfast, only to learn on arrival it does not. It took me numerous tries to get the room unlocked with the electronic card. The AC/Heater was dirty and falling apart.
The owners of the place mysteriously lost my cash deposit of $50. Also, you get what you paid for.
The overall stay was ok the only problem we had was kids running around upstairs
In my Top 10 list of bad hotel experience. Room was very cold. Hallways smelled of smoke. Front desk was located behind glass window. Owner was doing his best during check-in but was understaffed. I only needed a place to sleep in St. Cloud, so I knew what I was getting into, but still, would not recommend.
We paid via Orbitz; however, when we got to the hotel, we were asked for a credit card and had to pay them again to stay there. I finally just paid them but then talked to a different member of staff the next morning they refunded by bill. There was a gal in front of us as well that had the same issue. I was told that he was new and would be talked to about this. The room was not clean. We found some missed garbage in a corner. The bathrooms were very old and looked moldy. Water damage in the ceiling. The bed was comfortable and size was good. Overall not bad for a 1 night stay but would not stay there for a lengthy vacation.

Good improvements since name change and remodels. Good room rates for a simple sleeping room. Upgraded tv's and comfy beds.
New owners are installing new carpeting and bedding. The hotel is older and the bathroom is tired. The room is priced accordingly. For a single night after a long day of driving, it was fine.
