Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Room was basic but clean. Bed was comfortable. Nice view of the ocean and sunset.
The location is extremely convenient, the beach being right across the street is phenomenal. A much smaller venue than the large chain hotels, you don't get pounded by the comings and goings of hundreds of others

The small pool was sorry, but the staff were helpful and fixed a hot water problem quickly. The property has a good partnership with Isana's restaurant.
Breakfast was provided every morning. Beautiful landscape. Staff wes super friendly, accommodating, very sweet people! We liked the rooftop, and the many places to sit and relax in different areas. We were able to BBQ three nights in a row. It wasn't a big hotel were you couldn't BBQ and feel like home. They provided beach towels, unbrellas, beach toys, coolers which was so cool. I cant' wait to go back and stay there again.
The room was spacious and a good ocean view. The breakfast is free and was very good. The location was great.

Staff are the best. Breakfast is good. Beach chairs and umbrellas plus noodles and flotation are free to borrow.... they 24/7 coffee and reception.... nice people.

Upon checking into our room we realized they had placed us in the wrong room. We paid for the penthouse which has three beds, and they put us in a room with one king bed. The staff asked us if we were sure we booked the right room as if it was our error so we showed her our confirmation and then she had us wait in the room while she figured it out. It took at least 30 minutes for the general manager to call and when she did all she said was I can refund your money or split you into two rooms. The reason I booked the penthouse was to celebrate my sister on getting engaged with our friends so separate rooms wasn’t ideal. I asked the general manager Luseane why we weren’t placed in the original room requested and she said it was because of a leak, so I asked why no one had called me prior to notify me...her reply? Well we thought it’d be fixed, alright so when you realized it wasn’t you thought you could just place me in a room with one bed and charge me for the penthouse? The general manager just glared at me and said well what do you want me to do, well a phone call would’ve been nice then she replied “well I can just refund you the full amount” insinuating that we should just take our refund and leave. Since every place was sold out due to it being prom weekend as well, we took the split rooms. This is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had and I would never bring business here again!! It was awful! The general manger wasn’t helpful or even apologetic
Loved Maui and the Kohea-Kai. Everything in the resort operated as it should. The staff(Lucy, Robin,etc) was welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were even given an upgrade in our room!. The area was tropical, as I imagined Hawaii to be, yet we were close to shopping and many restaurants.My best vacation ever!
This was the perfect hotel for our 10-day stay on Maui. It's small, personable, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The garden seating for breakfast was lush and peaceful, and it's situated in the middle of the western side of Maui so it was easy to go to beaches and sightseeing both north and south. We would definitely stay here again.
