La Quinta Inn Waco University

Great hot water, clean sheets on bed, clean room. La Quinta in Waco, TX offers excellent stay-over for the weary traveller ~ especially enjoyed the hot water showers!

Smelled like smoke even though we were in a smoke free room, and the front desk couldn't help us out. And no microwave in the room other than that it was ok

I reserved on Orbitz a non smoking room for 2 nights. When we arrived they only had smoking rooms and they only reserved us 1 night. Parking seemed a little sparse but the room looked clean.

I walked into the shabby lobby of this shabby hotel and knew this was not going to be a good experience. My room opened to the outside at the back of the hotel in an isolated area, which didn't make me feel safe. The room itself had a bad smell. I'm not a persnickety person, but I couldn't take this for 2 nights. I cancelled and went elsewhere. On the positive side, the desk clerk was very nice and accommodating.

The place is run down and needs work. The toilet runs for 20 min after you flush. The pictures must be from a long time ago. Pay more to stay somewhere better.

We travel with our dog, so we like knowing that La Quinta can accommodate us. The hotel itself shows signs of age. The room was clean and the beds were okay. We had a king room and there was plenty of room to walk around, a comfy recliner and the wifi was adequate. We were there on a Friday night and hear the noise from some bar or club that was nearby. We were also in front of the ice machine and I thought that would be noisy all night, but I didn't notice it after the first time I heard it. The young man at the front desk was very helpful, polite and smiling, which is always nice. We did not try the breakfast, so I cannot say what that was like. The tub did not drain well during my shower and the baseboards in the bathroom showed signs of wear and age. I would stay again if I were traveling back to Waco with the pup.

The location is right next to Baylor University and on the highway. The staff was great. The breakfast was stale pastry and a toaster that didn't work. The worst thing was that the bathtub was two or three inches deep in filthy brown water and the drain was stopped up. Just waited until the next day to shower at destination.

Met our expectations. Used for Thanksgiving guests the last 3 years.

After a long day of travel, we were able to enjoy a comfortable and restful night. The staff were both pleasant and helpful. A good place to stay.

Nothing fancy but great location for Baylor visits and very good service. Sylvia was awesome, offering a room upgrade to a suite with two queens and a sofa sleeper at no additional charges. Spacious rooms and a better than expected breakfast. Again, not luxurious but very good for the price and an awesome location for visiting Baylor.

Ok for money. Smelled like smoke but clean. Nice staff and good location.

not what I expected. the first day in the hotel, I saw a bug..

Thanks for the great experience. Our stay was made very pleasing by all the staff members. Everyone was nice and friendly. That is very important in making our stay outstanding.

every thing was going Ok. Until someone came into my room with my door which was locked and cleaned out my wallet while I was in the shower. It takes a bold thief to violate a secure locked room and take what was not his!! Reported to the Waco Police but, I have not heard a word regarding this theft!!

Nothing to shout about but nothing to complain about either. Decent room, very close to the university where I was attending a conference. I appreciated having a fridge and microwave. Pool didn't attract me even though I brought a suit. Breakfast was provided... bagels and creamcheese were nice, but the coffee should have been better. I ended up at the IHOP down the road most mornings.

The convenient location was important for us, as was the pool (not heated). The room was on the back side, so traffic noise was not a problem (of course, the air conditioner helped). The room was clean, the staff VERY helpful, and there is a good BBQ place a couple of blocks away. All in all, everything we needed while passing thru, at a good price.

OK not good not bad for 1 night, good location, good wifi

We were looking for a last minute place to stay and found this... comfortable but lazy staff checking us in, gnats and humidity were annoying, and the place could use some fixing up.

As long as your standards are not set too high, this place will be just fine. I was visiting campus and needed a place close by, this fit the bill. It was a standard run of the mill room, nothing really stood out as extremely awesome. Only issue was the noise from the traffic from the interstate, but that was expected due to its location. It was located near some fast food restaurants, which was nice for easy meals.
