I called while traveling and when I asked if the Hotel was in a safe area he said they were across from the Magnolia Table so that sealed the deal for my friend. The staff was pleasant upon our arrival. They gave us some insight about the Magnolia Table and what time we should go. So thankful for the advice. Our room was comfortable and clean. I'd recommend this place. The room was clean
A friend and I stayed here when we came to Waco to see Magnolia Market. It's at a great location (we could see Magnolia Table from our window!), the room was clean, but the customer service is what really stood out to us. The front desk attendants were very helpful. They answered our questions thoroughly and did so in an upbeat friendly way. You could tell they loved their job.
We booked a room online and pre-paid in full. Due to a medical emergency with my daughter, we had to cancel our vacation and therefor needed to cancel our reservation with Comfort Suites. When I called in to explain the situation, the receptionist said that it's company policy NOT to cancel reservations under ANY circumstances if you pay in advance....! I would think with a 6 Week notice, an emergency cancellation is acceptable (like it is at any other hotel we've stayed in). Very disappointed in their customer service and will stay elsewhere on our future travels.... Jason Paulley Lanesville, IN
This is mixed review. I would give the hotel 5 stars. Service was EXCELLENT; the room was clean and comfortable; breakfast was fine. The fitness room was lame ; a couple treadmills, but this would be my only negative about the hotel. I would give our fellow guests in the hotel 1 star. People screaming in the lobby and hall at 2 am; people knocking on our window at night (we were on the first floor). You could tell when the bars closed. Rudest guest behavior I have seen in a long time.
I have generally had good experiences at Comfort Suites, but this one was a disappointment! The room was smaller than I expected for a "Suite." The bathroom was TERRIBLE! There was Black Mold completely surrounding the soap holder fixture in the shower and all along the seam between tub and the wall. One light bulb was missing; the telephone was dead, and the internet was slow. Breakfast was "OK," but not a lot of selection.
This hotel was exceptionally clean. The employees were exceptionally helpful and friendly. They provided us with a listing of "employee favorites" restaurants in the area. We went to Buzzard Billy's from the list and it was wonderful. When we drove up, my concern was that this hotel is surrounded by major roads; so I thought traffic would be an issue as we would hear traffic all night. They put us on the 4th floor; and the room was surprisingly very quiet. The hotel is clean and well-maintained. This property is handy to everything including only 5-10 minutes from downtown.
I stayed at this hotel when I traveled to Waco for state powerlifting meet. It is a clean hotel, and the staff is extremely friendly. The rooms are large and the AC works well. The breakfast was decent and several choices. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance
This is one of the cleanest and friendliest properties we have ever been to. Their customer service goes above and beyond. If you stop at the desk and ask for directions to local entertainment or even the local Wal-Mart the front desk will give you a card with turn by turn directions to help you see all the sites. Between the clean facilities and the unparalleled service this location is the only place our family will stay in Waco. Thank you for being so customer oriented.
This hotel was a good value and is conveniently located to most tourist things in Waco. The new Magnolia restaurant is literally right across the street. The hotel is currently undergoing a renovation.
We stayed here for 3 nights. It was in a good location and the staff was very helpful. Had everything we needed for our stay. Rooms were spacious. Beds were a little hard, but not bad. Breakfast was a good variety.
