We loved every moment of our stay at the Hotel Kristiania. Exceptional service (the complimentary shuttle service around the resort comes in really handy). Nothing is too much trouble and everybody always has a smile on their face. The hotel itself is extremely stylish with astounding views over the valley and the rooms are spacious. The bath products and dressing gowns are some of the nicest we've ever found! Food is delicious (great breakfast choices, great coffee and excellent fine dining at supper). It was a total joy to stay here...
The only negative for this hotel is that it is about a 10m walk from the ski lift. I really liked the rooms which has a second door inside leading to the bedroom so it’s very quiet. The staff are particularly nice and helpful. Great place.
For me this is the perfect hotel for a ski trip / vacation. It is small and whilst the common areas have a consistent theme the bedrooms are individualistic. I love the history - the founder was a dual Olympic medalist - the Hotel remains in the same family. The staff are consistently helpful, knowledgable and enthusiastic. A special mention to the sommelier who is just fantastic - I suggest leaving yourself in her hands. It is by no way a bargain - but is worth every penny/cent.
Great hotel and location. Superb staff. Nothing too much trouble for them. Arrangements for holding skis in centre of town excellent. Restaurant very high quality with good wines. Short walk into town - 5 minutes.
This hotel is really special. Not only is the food, location and decor beautiful the staff in all areas of the hotel ensure that your stay becomes truly wonderful. They cannot do enough to help you in whatever way you need.
This was our second visit to the Kristiania and we will happily return. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the food is wonderful and the atmosphere very relaxing. We felt truly looked after.
The most beautiful hotel, with the very best service in an enviable location. A tasteful and welcoming retreat. Lech is itself a stunning resort and remains un-commercialised; it was an absolute delight to have stayed there and to have been hosted by the most attentive staff..... we’ll be back as often as possible!
My husband and I escaped to the Kristiania and the Alberg region of Austria for four days of skiing in late February. The hotel is a very special place indeed - warm, cozy and completely delightful. But as other people have said, it really is the staff who make this hotel so outstanding and wonderful. Everybody is so helpful, welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to make your holiday absolutely perfect. The food too is delicious too. We would strongly recommend the fondue evening in the magical basement with its flickering open fire and soft music. The minibus service to town or the mountains is super handy and the well-stocked bar, with the fun and flamboyant Max, a relaxing end after a day in the snow. The boot room too is warm, pristine with plenty of boot heaters. We stayed in Room 40 and our only two comments are the room is very dark (too dark to read a book with all the lights on) but also the room has no shower because of the sloping roof in the bathroom. This is a minor inconvenience when you want to get out to the slopes early in the morning and the bath is VERY, VERY slow to run. That said, perhaps it’s a little reminder we could all do with going a little slower in life? Thank you so much to everyone at the Kristiania. We will be back!
We had a heavenly stay at the Kristinia for 9 days! The resort was tastefully furnished with modern art prices whilst retaining its distinctive Austrian charm. The junior suite we stayed at was cozy and absolutely lovely. We loved the fireplaces, hot chocolate and excellent meals. Hospitality was personal and amazing- they knew us by our names and we were met at every meal and around every corner of the resort with cheery bright smiles. Getting to the resort from Zurich Airport was a breeze and we loved our short drive everyday in the resort Our big thank to everyone at Kristinia for making us feel so much at home and we would return in a heartbeat!
The location and views are fantastic - no doubt about that. I thought the room itself, especially for the money, felt somewhat "blah" and the finishes seemed old and worn. We got a junior suite. We had stayed at what was described as a B&B in St Anton but our suite there had double sinks, heated bathroom floor, separate shower and the best bathtub I'd ever been in. Plus the sauna area had three different types of sauna and a plunge pool...gorgeous. I thought the Kristiania would be an upgrade from this and it wasn't yet it cost FAR more money. There were a LOT of kids running around during our entire stay and many, many guests (not just us) did complain about the amount of disruption they caused. Very hard to sleep when that's going on late at night and tough to have a quiet drink in the bar when lots of very young children are in there unsupervised and moving furniture around to play and taking over the entire room. If you're traveling with kids I would imagine this would be a great hotel, but that was not the intention of this trip and we, along with many other couples found it very noisy.
