The Goode's have a lovely compound just north of Hilo. Its close to the highway, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. They have a handful of various rooms, that are tastefully decorated with nice little touches throughout. Its like visiting your friends/family in the country, but the accommodations are classy and clean, and the surrounding property is well maintained and beautiful. You get a comfortable bed, lots of room, and nice furniture inside the room. Also, there is comfortable chairs, hammocks, and loungers to relax under the shade on the porch in front of each room. They owners grow lots of fruit trees and share their fruit with their guests. They are very responsive and take a genuine interest in your comfort and happiness while in their care. But they also give the guest plenty of space and privacy. But they are there anytime you need them, and are very friendly and nice people! Its not cheap, but its not expensive. It IS good value. Also, if you are looking for a longer stay, call Garvin, and he can offer a good rate on extended stays, for travellers and people in the Hilo area there on business.

Absolutely beautiful property, stunning views of Hilo Bay, very high quality appointments, tremendous attention to detail. We received a generous upgrade from the owner to the spacious Hilo Bay suite. Beautiful four poster king-sized bed, mini fridge, toaster, french press coffee maker and regular coffee machine, hot water for tea. Outside a huge patio with comfy furniture. Easy access to Hilo in 10 minutes or up the coast to Honokaa in 30 minutes and Waimea in less than an hour. Highly recommended.
It was perfect and had a beautiful view. We got to enjoy freshly picked bananas each morning from the garden!
