Modern hotel in excelent situation. Perfect for running at morning near river, in old town for shopping and restaurants. Young staff with excelent treatment for customers, not usual for staff as young as they have. Congratulations to all staff for make a 5 days stay simple and comfortable.
Three nights and four days I spend at AMBERTON. I should to say, that I was impressed of my room on 4th floor with Cathedral Square view.Nice big bed, clean and modern bathroom, place for relaxing too. The breakfast was nice too, especially I liked pancakes with cheese. At evening I prefered to sit at terrace with fruit tea, red wine and wonderful TUNA STEAK. A location of hotel is perfect. It's like at HEART OF OLD VILNIUS. The staff is very young and they could help you in any situation. You can look at my photos about AMBERTON. I hope you will like them. Now I must go back to home, and let me to say AČIU, AMBERTON for perfect time!
I was quite impressed with the Amberton Hotel. There was a little mix-up with the deluxe room I had booked, and the manager, Silvia, was very kind to make certain that we were satisfied with the outcome. She was kind and professional. It made us feel like she was interested in making sure that the customer was happy. (A rarity nowadays!). The room was spacious, clean, nicely decorated, and air-conditioned. The breakfast offered was varied and good. The location can't be beat. Old town within walking distance, restaurants all around, shopping street close by. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
I have just spent two nights at the Amberton Vilnius Hotel . The location is just fine in Old town city next to the Cathedral. The services is ok but unfortunately rooms are noise and need and urgent renovation . The hotel price is very affordable but still not worth to pay for such and old rooms . Breakfast is ok and it has a nice terrace to the Cathedral square.
It's modern and staff is nice, but breakfast is really quite "local". For a proper coffee (Espresso) you have to pay extra. So I had to go across the square to have a proper breakfast from my own pocket. There are still hotels whose managers believe that a proper Espresso is something for degenerated Southeners and that brown acid water is sufficient. Then they have several rooms with internal windows, i.e. that go onto an internal corridor. Luckily I managed to change. I wouldn't book this place for myself.
I didn't book the hotel, so I had very little previous nowledge when I arrived. The first impression was good - friendly and correct service and a nice, however somewhat cold and clinical atrium. The room was also a positive surprise - except from the smell of cigarette smoke that hit me when I opened the door. I checked, but yes, it was a non-smoking room. I guess that such "silly" restrictions might be interpreted differently around the world... The rooom was big and comfortable with a French balcony facing one of the central squares of Vilnius, also boasting the Vilnius Cathredal. The breakfast is nice and the restaurant comfortable, offering a good start of the day. What is bad, then...? Well- first of all, you need to be prepared for quite some noise from the square, and you need to like church-bells,as they seem to ramble all day long. And then, make sure that you get a room with a window, One of my travel companions got a room entirely without windows, and as the hotel was full, she didn't get a chance to change rooms. She had to move to another hotel, as who wants to live in a shoebox and pay the price of a four star hotel for it... ? Another annoying thin is that the free wi-fi, which works OK does not stratch beyond the walls, so it can not be accessed at the terracce, which is otherwse one of the qualities of the hotel. Afraid of someone stealing free airtime...? But all in all an OK hotel and centrally located both to get to the old part of town as well as the more mundane shopping and entertainment areas.
This hotel is well located in the center of Vilnius. Unfortunately, that is the best I can say about it. We stayed here two nights as part of an Insight Vacations tour. This was not our originally scheduled hotel. We were changed to this hotel due to some diplomatic meeting at our original hotel. The lobby is very small and there is one very small elevator ( 4 people). The room was very small and there was no luggage rack or even a table on which to put your suitcase, thus they had to be on the floor, making the room even smaller. The beds were small single beds and very hard. The pillows were flat and there was no selection. Breakfast was far below the standard of other hotels we stayed at in Eastern Europe. The selection was not extensive, the juices were warm, and the fruit available was straight out of a can. This is the kind of hotel I might expect to stay in if backpacking across Europe on a tight budget, but not when staying in 4 and 5 star hotels.
The hotel is clean, comfortable, quiet & value for money. The best thing is the location next to Cathedral Square. We enjoyed lingering over a late breakfast watching the scene around the square. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar, but there are a variety of eating establishments close by.
The Amberton hotel has the perfect location in the heart of Vilnius. It is modern and lives up to the 4 stars it holds. The room was very spacious and looked nice. The bathroom was also quite big and was just fine. It wasn't "tired" like in many hotels. Most of the rooms are different, so when booking a room, you don't know if you will get a smaller or a bigger room. Some rooms are with separate livingroom and bedroom. The breakfast didn't reach my expectations though. It was OK - you got the standard bacon and eggs like everywhere but the whole experience lacked something for me. I would of liked some pieces of pineapple or something else - they had apples and oranges as whole. Not a big problem though. The view from the restaurant to the Cathedral is great and it gives a nice touch to the breakfast.
Air conditioning wasn't working. It was icy cold at night.Warm water appeared in 5 minutes after opening in the shower. Asked for a coffee/tea before the breakfast time (I was ready to pay)-rejected..
