THE STAFF AT RECEPTION ARE RUDE AND UNACCOMMODATING. THE ROOM IS RUN DOWN AND THEY PLAN TO DEMOLISH THE PROPERTY IN 4 MONTHS. THE ROOM’S GLASS DOOR TO THE BALCONY DID NOT LOCK AND THEY NEVER FIXED IT! THE BEACH WAS NICE BUT THE WATER WAS NOT CLEAR! THEY NEED NEW FRONT DESK STAFF AND MANAGEMENT! THEIR LACK IF CARE AND CONCERN WAS TERRIBLE. FRONT DESK STAFF: GRETA/JULIA. ELIJAH SEEMED TO CARE BUT WAS POWERLESS TO DO ANYTHING AND DISAPPEARED FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME!

We pay premium for this vacation Do not treat this hotel as all inclusive hotel Third class hotel with untrained and unwilling to work personal. Flies at buffet area, one restaurant that you need to book every day for dinner with limited selection Every day was something wrong: when we arrived bell boy bring us to dirty room that takes them another hour to clean up, another day they just skip cleaning our room an we get new towels only at 7 pm No premium drinks, only cheap local staff. If you really want not to ruin your vacation stay away from this place

Staff was very nice and helpful. The property needs major repairs and updates.

The property itself was generally ok, though facilities and such clearly haven't been updated in quite a while (beach front king suite). The room was clean and spacious and the staff were all generally quite friendly. The hotel is also just a short 5min or so walk to the main town area which has a handful of bars and restaurants. Big Chef was quite good for a fine dining experience, but the rest of the bars/restaurants simply just did not look even remotely sanitary. Also, did not feel particularly safe in the evenings - no issues thankfully. Most people I spoke with also told me the hotel was an hour, maybe 1.5 hrs from the airport which just isn't the case. It took us nearly 2.5hrs by car at the cost of $95US to get to the hotel and just about 2hrs to return ($90US). Additionally, many of the island's best attractions / excurisions are by the airport, which means you'll have to take that 1.5-2hr trek multiple times. Mystique beach-front resto 'Mahis' has a somewhat limited menu and the food was not particularly good. The main buffet (most) breakfasts, lunch and dinners offered a wide assortment of cuisines however most simply just weren't good. My first breakfast there resulted in me getting food poisoning which left me quite ill for the majority of my stay, so I didn't even get to try the ONE on premise al-a-carte restaurant (must reserve in advance). Needless to say I didn't miss it much because I quickly lost confidence in the food quality after my initial experience.

The grounds are beautiful and the beach is fantastic. Staff super friendly and helpful. Bar drinks were not great. Room was very large with separate living room area. Good shower but floor in bedroom was warped and furniture worn out. Needs some updating. However the grounds and beach made up for it.

The Resort had a lot extra charges not mentioned in the fine prints. Poor quality WiFi. My husband got charged twice for a top liquor drink. The vendors on the beach do not let you enjoy your full experience because they are harassing you nonstop. The island is beautiful.

The property really needs to be wiupdated .. It has bathrooms that leak/ walls that leak/ lack of functioning hot/cold water / rooms etc are really outdated .. WiFi doesn't work ...Lack of food choices and staff On the positive side the staff that are there are super friendly ..

Service was great. Our housekeeper Jennifer was very friendly and did a great job. Guest ice machine was broken but anyone would go get some for you if they saw you with a bucket.

The property is running down. We ran into issues like dirty bed sheet, dirty bathtub and wrong bed size on the first night. The hotel service quality is inconsistent...

My friends and I went down to St. Lucia for carnival and had the WORST experience at this hotel. Upon arrival, the hotel room that we booked was not assigned to us. When we were checking in, they presented us with a completely different room type that was not what we paid for. It had twin beds and we had to ask them to switch us to the type of room we requested. Once we did, it took over 40 minutes for them to prepare the room. The KING size bed we were supposed to have was converted to two twin beds pushed together. The wifi was non-existent. They gave us the password the first day and when we got to our room, we informed them that it was not working. They KEPT insisting that it was our phones that weren’t working. My friend had to purchase an international plan just to communicate with her kids. They let us know that they would bring a router to the room the next day. We followed up bright and early that morning and it never came. We called several times, went into town, came back at 4:30 PM and it was not in the room, and the wifi still didn’t work. Finally, one day before our stay, we requested AGAIN that they bring the router they promised three days before, one of the staff came up to the room, and verified that the internet was NOT working then proceeded to give me an entirely new password with a new network that was note presented to us initially. The wifi worked for 4 hours, then was patchy. The morning we were checking out, the water was not working.

Amazing staff and hotel. Very attentive to details. Beautiful location.

Best deal on the island and best staff. No one bothers you, but when you ask for something or have a problem, it’s dealt with promptly. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in st Lucia. The Royal Lucia is such a great value compared to any other. Don’t be scared by the low price! It’s nice!

Tons to do and a great breakfast buffet to get your day going.

Staff is super friendly and always available to help. Carnival cruises is must. Also be sure to try the buffet breakfast very well put together and the food is very tasty. Beautiful hotel beautiful surroundings.

Hotel was very nice. Room was better than expected. Nice location, walk to restaurant and shops. Not a lot of activity at the hotel. Very quiet. Troy the bartender is fantastic
