Hotel is filthy. Hallways haven't been vacuuming in...forever. Room was dirty. Mold in bathroom, dirty sheets, what appeared to even be a blood stain on them. Uncomfortable bed. Was worried about our health to be honest. Doesn't look like they clean rooms at all....just straighten up and re-book. So gross! Health department should be checking them out.

This hotel is dirty, neglected, remote from downtown area. The neighborhood seems dangerous, with a smoke filled liquor store and a shady bar as the front wall of the hotel. Very much overpriced. The only reason we stayed 2 nights of a planned four day stay is because everything else was booked up for the holiday weekend. Half the light bulbs in the bathroom needed replacing, thick layers of dust, kick marks on walls, a styrofoam divider behind a door to the next room. There was a big booger next to my nightstand on the wall. The shower curtain was moldy. The positives: bedding smelled fresh and the soap products they supply also smelled nice. Otherwise, the place is rundown and filthy.

Nice clean rooms, nice staff, very good price, outdoor pool, Rest. WIFI, large TV

I booked this hotel when economy rooms were scarce (visit of the royals to Victoria). I had stayed here before and found the hotel staff pleasant and efficient. I needed the room for only one day and all of my expectations were met (except that the coffee maker had suddenly been removed-replaced in a few minutes with apologies).

It was nice and clean. The People on the front desk where very helpful and friendly. We will recommend you any time.

Ramada is usually a good hotel. Ramada Victoria on Gorge had no breakfast included, old building, parking lot system needs getting used to, hallways left with litters for 24 hours until I informed the desk, no answer to my phone calls to the front desk, only one staff working at a time at the front desk. The three staff I met were all couteous, accommodating, pleasant, and kind.

okay place to stay, 10 bulbs of 12 were burnt out in the parking lot and it took 3 days to fix, no biggie if yu can park close to the reception

Clean, convenient, central location fairly close to downtown Victoria with frequent bus line to downtown; free parking. Enjoyed my stay

When parking at the hotel during the day, there may be room to park a car in front of the hotel. In morning or night when there are more cars, turn directly into the underground parking garage from the street, unless your room ends up near the pool at the back of the hotel. At least half of the hotel's rooms are on this odd split level that doesn't seem to be serviced by the same elevators where the service desk & restaurant are. So if you check-in and bring your bags with you, and you get a room on the split level like I did, be prepared to haul your bags up a couple of steps. The room & its amenities are a great value with ample power outlets, but our room was placed directly outside the ONE enclosed pipe looking thing outside the building that 1-2 times a day would emit a sound JUST like our window AC/fan for up to a few hours. It was weird, but didn't keep me up at night. Separate heat controls were available but we didn't use them. Ice machines only available on 2 out of 4-5 floors but not ground floor and snack machine was only on one floor. Hotel is in a nice suburb just a short drive from downtown & the city's harbor with its own street light intersection. It has a restaurant in-building that serves 2 or 3 meals a day depending on the day of the week, and also has a separate sports bar.

I would stay here again because the location is good and rooms are fairly clean and comfortable. Not the best room in town but for the price it is definitely not a dive.

staff is friendly & helpful. Clean comfortable room.

good location and clean room. excellent place to stay in victoria.

Good location, free breakfast, would stay again. Nothing bad to say.

This is a nice hotel at a reasonable price for Victoria. It is a little bit of a distance from downtown, but they provide a shuttle. We didn't take it, but instead drove or walked on the Galloping Goose Trail, which is close by. The room had a smoke smell despite being a non-smoking smell, but we got rid of that by leaving the windows open all the time. The room was spacious and included a little sitting room. There was a large breakfast included in the room price. The only part we weren't too happy about was that our backpack was stolen while we sat in the lobby with our bags. A man came it asking about a room and as he left, he quickly scooped up the backpack without anyone noticing, and ran out. He was caught doing it on the surveillance camera, and the lady at the front desk found out that he had done a similar robbery at a hotel down the road. This was something we weren't expecting as the lobby is very nice and there were staff people all around.

We were staying in Vancouver and wanted to spend more than a day in Victoria so we looked for a hotel and this one was great. The balcony was dirty, but we had no desire to go outside anyway. Good price and the staff helped us navigate the bus system and offer some great tips.

Not expensive and have a good breakfast. The bed is too soft for me.

We had a really nice weekend here. They welcomed our mid-sized dog, hotel is a short drive from downtown Victoria, and they're right on top of a comedy club that was quite fun. The area feels peaceful and reasonably quiet.

Great experience, very clean, good breakfast! the only problem was we were charged twice for our rooms. I called and they said it would be taken care of right away.

Nice hotel, conveniently located, good value. Free breakfast. Nice staff, too.

At first glance, the hotel itself looked very dated (run down 60's/70's motiff), but after spending some time in Victoria this seems to be the norm for most of the city. I can only assume age and the constant rain in Victoria are responsible for the very noticable musky smell through the hotel (reminded me of visiting my grandparents, except not as pleasant). Parking was normally pretty good, but the hotel is attached to a fairly popular local bar (Hecklers) that gets packed at night and can make finding a spot nearly impossible. The staff was nice and responsive as well. For the price, I would consider staying at the Ramada again as it is located fairly close to the downtown area, but I'm going to shop around going forward.
