Stayed here for 5 nights because it was economical. Can walk to downtown from here. Bed was comfortable but room is very small. Works if you don't plan to spend time in the room other than for sleeping and showering. Staff was very friendly and room was clean.

When I was checking out in the morning, I met a rude counter staff whose name is Raymond. He was in the office and the only one person near the counter. I say hello to him but he throw his charing phone on the desk. It is so rude and not patient to customer! I would like to give negative star for the service!

front desk is friendly, approachable and superb. i came a little bit early, i guess its not even a check out time, the front desk ask us to wait for 30 minutes and told us that he will do his best to give us a room, and in less than 30 minutes he manage to give us a clean and excellent room.... the fact that the hotel was fully booked the night before and its too early for us to check in, still they manage to let us in just 30 minutes... its a long drive for us and we are very tired and to let us in so early and fast, we really do appreciate this.. thank you so much to all hotel staff... housekeeper do a really good job, room is excellent..

Front office staff very knowledgable and helpful. Provided map and directions to the Ferry and made recommendations for a very nice restaurant within walking distance (it was after the onsite restaurant had closed). The shower water pressure was the best I've experienced in any hotel - a real luxury after camping for week.

Very clean rooms. A good deal for the price, not top of the line, but very comfortable. The staff was nice and let us into our room early as we arrived soaking wet and needed to dry off.

The room was clean and simple. Great for a one night stay if you don't require anything fancy. Friendly staff let us in to our room early so that we could dry off after a snorkeling mishap.

This hotel worked well for our stay. Not in downtown but not downtown prices it's not walkable to town, but bus or cab ride is available. They also offer a shuttle to town and back. When we arrived we were greeted by a man named Royce..... He was knowledgable, kind, and accommodating. We got an upgrade to a suite. The next morning we wanted to warm up our goodies from the night before however all the cabinets were locked so we called downstairs to get a key to open. Johnathon was the new guy on duty who told me it would be an extra $10 to unlock or I could come down and get a plate. Then hung up on me. Hmmmm so I went down and he gave me one plate one fork, spoon and knife hmmm again! The next morning I see the housekeeper did not reload the coffee, creamer and sugar, so again I called down this time a 3rd guy answered. He told me to come down and get that too! This time I said no way. He said that's the only way I would get it, then I reminded him about reviews on the Internet and he changed his mind quickly and sent it up right away. Other than that..... The room was clean, beds were comfy. One ply toilet paper and the extra blanket felt like an expanded nerf ball,

Staying at the Victroria Travelodge was a good experinence for us. The room was clean, quite and everything in working order. The staff was friendly and informative. We would stay here again.

I really liked the room however the sports bar was right behind the room and every night sounded like the music was right in my room. This went on for 4 nights. We thought we could get dinner there one night however the restaurant was closed..... I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very comfortable and the staff and service are great. It is an excellent deal for the price and the location. It's an older building but they are doing the best they can with it. They have made up for the quality of a 1950s design with a lot of comfort and great service.

Room clean, modern. Pool, sauna, gym. Nothing else needed and a good price too.

While we were there we just explored the city. I grew up on Vancouver Island, but seldom visited the city. This is the third time my wife and I went there. This time we dragged our grown son along. The motel room was quite comfortable with luxurious beds, a 43 inch tv and a refrigerator. We spent most of our time exploring the streets and other tourist sights, including the B.C. museum. On our last day, we drove aimlessly around and let our GPS lead us back to the motel.

The room was extremely clean and the bed, comfortable. The hotel is about 1/2 an hour walk to downtown. Unfortunately, windows didn't open (it should be easy modifying them to open a crack without compromising security. We kept our door open on the latch.

The front desk personnel were very helpful and friendly. The room was your generic King hotel room. Nothing fancy and a bit pricey (as is standard for Canada). The only real complaint is that they didn't have movies available to watch, which is part of the vacation experience. When I asked about getting a discount for the missing feature, we were redirected[...]

I was worried about booking a hotel sight unseen, but the minute I saw the hotel I knew I would be happy. It was in good condition and decorated nicely for the Christmas season. Our room was clean and bright and we had a great view of Victoria (which was about a 5 minute drive away). We breakfasted in their cozy lounge area: tasty food, friendly waitress. We did have a problem with the heating in our room. But as soon as mentioned this at the front desk, they sent a maintenance person to check the heater. By the time we returned to our room that evening, the heater was working, plus they'd left a mini electric heater, so our room was very toasty and warm for the rest of our stay.
