Clean and comfortable. We would have enjoyed a more personal welcome and when we were unable to make dinner reservations, the front desk did not offer any assistance.
The staff and hotel location was absolutely wonderful. Restaurants, caffes, and Verona attractions were ALL within leisurely walking distances. Shopping with my wife became a new Italian competitive sport...I lost but the Italian economy improved a bit. Come and share the experience--you won't be disappointed! Dr. Mike and Jan Z.
This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The room we stayed in (559) was well appointed - very clean, good layout. Breakfast was also excellent. Location-wise, it is very good. It is between the train station and the old city,... all within walking distance. Staff can be friendlier but not the hotel's fault... Must be the Italian attitude - I've had the same experience at other hotels in other parts of Italy. This hotel is highly recommended.
The hotel is located on a wide, well known street, slightly south of the middle of town. We drove to Verona and from the location convenient for driving to the airport, but also convenient for walking around the core of Verona. The arena, the big Roman job is nearby, as is shopping and Juliet's famous balcony. Parking is very resistive, but there were two lots close by. We were in six hotles in Italy on this trip and found the Firenze's internet the best of them all. The air conditioning worked better than most and the interior room decor was fresh. The hallways were quite as well. The English spoken by the staff was much better than average. The breakfast was the most complete and freshest of any we had on the trip.
Great location (in between train station and downtown, 15 minute walk or $10 taxi tops). The hotel is small but the room are very new, very spacious, great new amenities and super clean. I stayed at 7 hotels in past few weeks in Italy in this price range and this was by far the best.
Spoke english, Very helpful! Clean,Clean,Clean!
After spending almost two weeks in hotels across Italy, all of which were very good, it felt like coming home to Best Western. We went to Italy intending to avoid all chain hotels and stay in locally-owned places. However, because of the location of the Hotel Firenze, and it's nearness to the train and city center, we made an exception. We were not disappointed. The hotel was wonderfully clean, the rooms were well-lit and tastefully decorated, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was wonderful. We would hearily recommend Hotel Firenze to weary travelers looking for a comfortable, clean, and convenient place to stay!
