Location location! The view from the rooms is amazing! Nice restaurant with decent food. Rooms are a little outdated and the furniture has a little bit of a musty smell. The room was clean and the atmosphere makes it worth it though. I would definitely stay there again.

Stunning ocean views and super friendly staff only downside is hotel is little old but it really worth it for the price

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel, it's history and the region. Most of the staff has been there 10 plus years. The chef has been there over 30 years. The cuisine at Shoal's restaurant did not disappoint - excellent. And the view is breathtaking when dining out on the patio behind the hotel. The rooms aren't fancy, but are clean and comfortable. I got the best night's sleep I've had in years. The sound of the waves crashing up on the rocks lulls you to sleep. It felt like a 1950's hotel style - very retro - in a good way. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and will go back when we're in the area again!

Amazing experience, all night you hear the ocean waves crashing. It had to of been one of my best nights of sleep.

Our stay at Cliff House Inn was EXCELLENT! Wish we would have been able to stay longer.. Food, staff, everything is equally grand.

Every room has a view of the ocean which was wonderful and restful. Pleasant, helpful staff. We ate at the restaurant and the food was very good. The room could use updating curtains had holes in them. The main problem was that there was no way to control the temperature. The room was very warm. We unfortunately,, were right by the heating ducts and they are very loud and seemed to run continuously I would go back but would request not to be by that. The ocean would be much more preferable.

Room is nice and clean. Very cofortable stay and great view.

Cliff House was right off the highway so it was a good stop over on our trip up the coast. The restaurant in the hotel is amazing! The hotel itself is fine. Nothing special.

The atmosphere is excellent view is exquisite very pleased

There's nothing like sleeping to the sound of the ocean. Especially being on a big comfortable bed. PROS: All the rooms face the ocean with the beach being about 100 feet away. If you open the window, you even get sea breeze in your room for free. Our room (#22) had a big, king sized bed that was very comfortable with clean sheets and soft, very warm blankets that let you sleep with the window open without getting cold. The toiletry kit provided by the hotel was of good quality. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. CONS: The room is VERY basic, aged and a little run down (but clean). If you're looking for any kind of luxury, find it somewhere else. The TV is from the 1980's, the volume on it would go from barely audible at max to insanity-nightmare-loud without notice. We had to figure out how to watch tv, having to work 2 remotes and the tv set itself. it was overly complicated. The bathroom was clean but tiny, old and run down. The framing around the ceiling light was missing revealing a gaping hole into the space above. The walls in the bathroom had dents and holes in it, the shower was barely big enough for an adult, the shower handle was broken and difficult to set to a comfortable water temperature. With all its faults, and even though we felt the upkeep was a bit on the negligent, we would stay here again. With a little TLC, this place could be legendary.

Good but not great food was good and the view. The hotel was in the middle of nowhere had to drive alot ...

being on the ocean saved this place. there was no in room coffee, no hair dryer. The curtains had wear holes in them in addition, it was no benefit to book thru you. the prices were the same for clients off the street. dining experience there was above average.

The sites and sounds of the ocean were at our front door.
