This was my second time staying here (with years in between visits). It's quiet, the rooms are nice.

If you like the 70's and worn out furniture then this place is for you. The room I stayed in had 2 chairs both worn out arms and stained. Comforter had a cigarette burn hole in center. Carpet was coming up along the walls. Walls themselves might as well not be there for how easily you can hear everyone around you on the 1st floor. The shower/tub needs replaced, coating is peeling up and caulking needs to be completely redone. There is zero ventilation in bathroom, no fan or heat lamps which are no more then regular lights when there should be heat lamp bulbs. A/c&Heater unit temps are preset and couldn't change. Pro: there's really good water pressure and never ran out hot water.

This is a very nice hotel and probably a 5 star hotel in its day. A little worn but very nice people great. Room good value and the best breakfast buffet in a long time.

I stayed in this hotel in the early 90's and it was a nice place to stay. I think time and usage has made the hotel what it is today. The breakfast was not worthy of waking up for, the only good thing was the waffels. I was staying here during the "Thomas " fire and there were power outages and no internet for some time, not the hotels fault. The rooms are large but you can hear everything that happens in the adjoining rooms. If you book here bring your own ammenities the ones they give you are a waste of openning a package. My stay consisted of being in 2 rooms. the first room was near the tennis courts and could not pick up the internet, so I changed rooms to adjacent to the front office and it worked.

I was in the area to visit family just off the beach area. This hotel I found on Orbitz was close to where I needed to be and close to stores.

This hotel is only for people who are looking for a place to sleep and nothing else. This place is not for people who want the works. It is a simple but comfortable.

Clean, comfortable place with and excellent breakfast....a good value.

I never write reviews let alone a bad one. Very dirty facility and I contracted a virus that has me hospitalized and under intensive care. Do not go here. Viral symptoms are fever, chills, neck pain and spinal inflammation.

Every part of this hotel says retro 70s vibe. I loved that. Unfortunately this meant many of the items were original and not well kept. The shower had patched holes on the floor that were soft, It looks like a room had caught fire, the roof tiles look extremely aged (unsure if they leak or not), the lights are placed awkwardly. I did love the room design though and the staff were very friendly. The shower water pressure and temperature were perfect.

Over all not recommended - i wouldn't stay there again. Everything is old, dirty, rusty, broken, stinky, and run out literally - it's quite expensive for what it is - "a cheep motel". The internet booking websites and the motel website are misleading - this is MOTEL as stated on the property sign (not a Hotel). The pictures are misleading too - the set up is the same but it's like the picture were taken 30 years ago. And no - i'm not spoiled rich kid - I've traveled around the world and USA, and I've seen it all.

We were so surprised to find dishes & silverware in a motel room but knew it had a frig. & micro so that was a nice surprise. Were also happy to have a free hot breakfast & wish we had more time there to have used the lovely pool & jacuzzi. We LOVED THE HUGE ROOM!!!

We were very pleased. The staff person we dealt with was knowlegeable. The only problem was the shower. It was dirty and cracked. The whole stall needs to be replaced.

This was very poor value for the cost. The room was poorly furnished, with thrift shop decor. We were only given two very thin, institutional towels. The staff was arrogant and unpleasant; e.g., we asked for directions and were told to look on Google, and, if we didn't have Google, then too bad. The hallway was noisy all night with drunks. The smell of pot wafted into our room. The bed was lumpy. The blanket on the bed was stained.

The room had a bad smell. I turned on the water in the restroom to wash up and the color of the water was brown. Continental breakfast was suppose to be from 6-10am. I waited until 7:45am and doors were still looked and with no staff around. Front desk staff had no clue if they would serve breakfast. I checked out and went to eat breakfast at McDonald's. I will never stay at Casa Mar Inn & Tennis Club again.

Needs bathroom redone, good breakfast, loved room style,

Very old and dated hotel. The bed covers were dirty had stains. I woke with bed bug bites on my foot and the ambience of the room was very off. It's not far from the beach but I would rather pay a bit more to stay at a newer and nicer hotel.

It was pretty ghetto. The breakfast tasted like cardboard and the room smelt like weed.

No that happy this time the girl from front desk seam mad she did not smile one bit.

I took a chance, even after seeing some of the reviews, it was a wonderful stay! The room was clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and polite (I checked in at 1130pm and they were cheerful). Donuts and coffee at the front desk. Breakfast served in a separate nice building. Overall experience was great. I would recommend it to everyone!! *this is not a brand new place and you must enjoy the rustic charm.

We had expected this to be just a decent hotel to spend a night, and thought we'd grab fast food from the strip mall next door and spend most of the time in our room. But it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The pool/spa area is very nice, and the sushi at the mall was simply amazing. The hotel is also near enough to the marina that it is a nice walk. And the free breakfast in the morning was way better than you expect at an inexpensive motel.
