Our family of four had a fantastic visit to this hotel during the second week of July; what a great place to combat jet lag with kids. The pool feature was lovely with loungers, towels, drinks, ice cream, and food all available during the open hours. The suite was very spacious and accommodated our family well. We stayed three nights and hope to return. Some advice: we were in a second floor apartment that got quite warm in the afternoon, don't worry, the air conditioning did eventually catch up later in the evening after dusk. Also, take a taxi from the boat docks with your bags; it is about a 10-15 minute walk—much easier without luggage. Overall, this is a great summer place to stay as it's only a 8-10 minute boat ride from the Giardini and you can choose when you wish to be part of the tourist hordes descending on Venice.
My family and I stayed at the Residence Le Ville del Lido the last week of June and had an excellent time. The room/apartment was perfect, the swimming pool area lovely (and quiet and relaxing) and the location - 15 minutes from Venice - was just right. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to combine culture and relaxation
Excellent property within very short distance of the Lido beach. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms make it very convenient. Rose and Alex are wonderful at the reception. I'd highly recommend this hotel for couples or families
The suite is huge with everything you Need. The beach is opposite and not to far from the vaporetto. The continental breakfast was excellent, the best cakes I have ever tasted in Italy. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Can no guests use swimming pool for a fee? My family is staying in venice but would like to visit a pool and the beach but not stay at the hotel. Would love more info about pools we can use in venice.
Prior to our booking we asked via e-mail "a quite suite on the ground floor with private garden". We quickly received confirmation for "an apartment with garden" and made the booking. Our garden, however, was 5 to 10 meter away from the main street on the Island with north-south traffic. This is a busy street with cars, busses, trucks, etc. We were not able to sit outside to have a normal face to face conversation. Obviously we were very disappointed. We expressed our concerns to the reception. The staff was very friendly and understood our disappointment but were not able to give us another suite because they were fully booked. There are many other apartments in this facility which are not directly next to the main street which are much quieter. So if you are looking for a quite place you should make sure not to be next to this road. For the rest this hotel would get a good rating from us (i.e. breakfast, pool, staff, etc.) but for our honeymoon this was a disappointment.
We`d stayed in a Venice apartment for a week but decided to have our last day here and chill. What a good idea. The hotel was easy to reach by Vaporetto and Taxi. It was walk-able but not with suitcases. Our room had a lovely roof terrace and we could just see the sea. We had late night drinks under the stars. There was a cute little kitchen and fridge where we kept our wine chilled. Clean and comfortable with decor to suit the locality. We had lunch around the corner at a roadside cafe next to the beach. We spent the afternoon around the pool which was gorgeous with crystal clear water and plenty of sun beds with shady parasols in the pretty garden. Staff recommended a restaurant where we had our evening meal and then we watched the sun set over the Venice sky line. So romantic. Breakfast was a generous buffet selection with something for everyone with the best lemon curd cake ever, and of course great coffee. So glad we added on this extra day, but next time we`ll come for longer.
After a few days in Venice we made a last minute decision to go for a day to this hotel - wish it was a week! Great place - wonderful staff, great facilities so close to the beach and rooms were stunning. Special thank you to the staff who went out of the way to help us when we had a real possibility of missing our flights! Thank you!!
An excellent alternative to staying in the heart of Venice. The commute by water taxi from Lido to the sites in Venice can be a drag, but returning to Lido at the end of a sightseeing day was well worth it. This hotel was perfect for us and our three teenage children. Great pool and great breakfast. And the hotel is directly across the street from the beach; we had fun swimming in the Adriadic Sea. The walk from the hotel to the water taxi is a pleasant 12-15 minutes; 10 minutes from hotel to restaurants and gelato.
Room was excellent - separate bedrooms, roof terrace, balcony - plenty of room compared to other Italian hotels I have stayed in. Kitchen was OK as well for cooking your own meals. Pool area was gorgeous - never too crowded despite the peak period, 3 separate depths for kids etc. Absolutely loved it! Overall position in island was OK - ~ 5 minutes walk from main street/public beach. Breakfast was OK - nothing too fancy but did not leave us hungry. Warning to early birds though - they start serving at 8 - bit too late if you want to go sightseeing before sun gets hot (we stayed in june). In short, it is excellent if you are looking for family vacation - kids loved it! If you dont care about pool and self cooking capabilities then there are probably cheaper options out there.
