Very good stay, clean, warm comfortable room, impeccable staff.

I know that European hotels are not nearly on par with American standards but this hotel was really gross. Old, not clean, and smelled. I don't know what rating this is done by but definitely did not deserve 3 stars. Staff was pretty nice though.

Good location! Awesome service and a great room. However, the breakfast is not as great as other hotels (same cost). The staff during the day (not during the night) was very friendly.

Staff was friendly, helpful and hotel is in a great location. Deserves the 3 star rating.

Small hotel, nice free breakfast with my room. Room was small but very clean and nice. The staff was helpful and the location is pretty darn good. The price was exceptional!!!

This hotel is very close to the train station and waterbus station. This made travel very easy. There are a lot of shops and restaurants very close. The hotel has no elevator outdated décor and poor amenities for the price you pay.

Our room was spacious and quiet. No view, but that was ok for us. Bathroom was clean and a good size, shower was small but ok. Breakfast was simple but good. We arrived via the airport and took the bus to Piazzale Roma, which was easy and inexpensive. We walked to the hotel. We departed via train, and the hotel was perfectly situated to walk to the train station. The hotel staff were helpful, we would stay there again.

It was close to the train station, so you can walk and drop your baggages ant then walk around Venice.

Location is perfect - 2 minutes from the train station, you do not need to lift your luggage over the canal bridges - A GRAT RELIEF! downisde: the hotel has no lift

The hotel from the outside looks old and not well taken care of, but dont let that fool you when you go inside. The room itself is legit. Everything was nicely done and the bathroom was amazing. The shower was small but it was fine. Free wifi and the front desk were nice and funny. The street in front of the hotel is always busy from 8am to 12am. It was also convenient that it was next to the train station too!

Very friendly, extremely convenient, also very helpful.

The location could not be any better...Less than 300 feet from the St. Lucia train station. Breakfast is very good, but it does not change no matter how long you stay. The shower is so small that you cannot turn around in it, but the bath room was as clean as it can get,,,,fresh towels every day. Day manager was the very best you could ask for. The night managers were OK but not very friendly.

Venice is expensive, so for the price, location, and what you're getting, it's pretty good. Not a luxurious hotel. The room is "meh" but the staff is very hospitable, and the location is great!

Pros - Clean rooms. - Great location. - Friendly staff - Nice continental breakfast, no additional charge. - Nice / functional decorated - Room safe - Good value. Cons - No elevator. Making heavier bags an issue) - Very small shower

Hotel Spagna is 5 minutes walking from the train station and near most Vaporette stops as well as the Allilaguna ferry to San Marco airport. It is on a busy street that has tons of souvenir type shops and a few restaurants. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Breakfast was served on the first floor near the reception and is OK in quality while the lady serving it is outstanding. Reception staff was good and helpful. Stayed in a small room in the back without much of a view which had a nice, clean bathroom with good amenities. For a few days in Venice this is a nice low key place in a good location.

We got off a cruise and stayed an extra night in Venice. Which you should do. - this hotel had a great location and cheaper way to get in and out of Venice. From the hotel shuttle we walked to it and took a public boat to the airport. We were on the top floor which was a little tough but I needed the exercise. It is a simple hotel and they had my room ready at 10 am! I really enjoyed the stay and the charm of the hotel and its employees. Money saved for more to spend in the city. At night do the dueling orchestras in st marks square best music experience I've ever had

Clean hotel in a good location - just a couple minutes from the main train station and close to the water bus stops.

Good clean hotel located in 5 minutes walking distance from Venice Santa Lucia train station.

The Hotel Spagna was a great place to stay - economical and comfortable. While not plush, it provided all the necessities. It was very clean and the breakfast included with the room rate was very good. Most importantly, members of the staff, especially the front desk personnel, were absolutely excellent. I have never had better! They arranged tours, gave directions readily (even to friends who were not staying there), arranged transportation (even for friends who were not staying there), etc - and all without charge! I will certainly stay there again when in Venice!
