Great Place, very fresh and Nice hotel with a fantastic location. Very friendly and service minded staff. Perfect Place for a stay in Venice . The hotel must be new or at least totally renovated. Coming back for more !

Lovely hotel only open a couple of years. Had first floor junior suite overlooking the canal. Murano Glass style chandelier, flock wallpaper, chaise longue, desk. Comfortable bed, usual in room services, kettle, good coffee machine, TV (Italian, German, French etc channels), mini bar (same prices as main bar i.e 7euro a small beer, but that seems to be the going rate, unless you want to pay 16 in St Marks Sq) room safe. Good cupboard space. Iron if you need it. Bathroom small, one basin, loo and bidet but the shower is large, rainfall and separate handheld. Good bathrobes but belt is too short. There is an enclosed terrace with nice seating for a quiet drink if you ignore the pigeons. They organise a daily boat to Murano which needs to be done, but while you are moved thru the showroom (how much do you want to pay for a vase $60,000, is not uncommon) expensive and not to everyone's taste or pocket. You have to get the Vaporetto back (7.50 each trip) by yourself but its a nice trip if you have the time. Breakfast was standard quality hotel fare, juices, coffees, cakes, breads, etc etc there is bacon and eggs but suggest you need to be early to get the best of this. Other items available at extra charge. Good location pretty easy walk to St Marks and the Rialto is just around the corner. Go to the nearby department store (DFS) you get a splendid view from the roof and the inside is spectacular too. Overall good quality hotel friendly staff and location. Somewhat expensive but nothing is cheap in Venice.

Great location, quiet yet central location, price included lovely breakfast, front reception area elegant and opens right out to the canal to get into a gondola! Room beautiful with Murano chandelier, spacious, windows that open. Staff were super helpful, friendly, kind and highly recommend this hotel.

From the moment we checked in, hot and tired and a little ragged from a long trip from California, we were treated like royalty. The staff was lovely and helpful from the word "go". They mapped out the city for us, told us what options were available from the hotel, and provided most excellent service. We were shown to the most elegant room! (306), overlooking the "rio". Gondoliers passed back and forth right below our window. We slept the first night with the windows and shutters all open and just listened to the music of the city. Okay, and there was some "music" from the mosquitos too, so we only did that one night! But it was pretty wonderful. The bathroom was black marble and very well appointed. Large shower, lots of water pressure. HUGE closet. In room coffee. First two bottles of water are free, subsequent 2E which seemed fair to me. A couple of notes... The hotel provides a taxi to the island of Murano. There is a short glass demonstration (wonderful but toooooo short) followed by a tour through the most amazing gallery of glass art. Beware, there is a bit of a hard sell for these very expensive pieces of art. But it is worth it to see what true master artists have created out of glass. The gallery is amazing. I was tempted to buy, but decided to wait to see what else the town had to offer. I'm glad I did. The town had a LOT to offer. Albeit, not nearly as much from master craftsman as that gallery. There are a tremendous number of shops in town selling glass works. Be sure to check that what you purchase is really from Murano. The town is just beautiful. Try not to spend the whole time in the shops or you will miss a charming, lovely, unique town. Just standing there LOOKING at what there was to look at was my favourite thing. The hotel also offers a connection to a private, 2 hour walking tour with Monica for 140E. I cannot stress enough how worth every cent this tour was to us. Just my husband and I and our guide. She was passionate, knowledgeable and truly in love with her city of Venice. She showed us the market in full swing, explained the palaces on the grand canal, took us to the skinniest street in Venice, showed us the historic red light district, stopped in a venetian mask makers shop... I could go on, but what I really just want to say is Take This Tour! You will not regret it. So, Hotel Ai Reali... A definite five star (circle) recommendation. Loved absolutely everything about this very classy hotel. Oh, and a nod to the nice breakfast. Lots of options, and even prosecco... can't go wrong there ;-)

My friends and I stayed at Ai Reali over the Venice Biennale. One of the busiest periods in Venice. The hotel is in a very convenient location - 10 minute walk from San Marco and right by the canal so it is possible to take a water taxi. The rooms are decorated in a traditional style but not in an old fashioned way. The beds are extremely firm and comfortable, the sheets are silky soft. Thankfully, there are black out curtains so you can sleep late as well! The bathrooms are modern with a great shower. We had a nice time at the spa. It may be small but the steam rooms, jacuzzi and sauna are well maintained. Very clean and in great condition. The rooms included breakfast, which we had every morning. There is a good selection and the waiter service was very professional and courteous. An incident that impressed us the most of all was when we were cheated by our water taxi driver. We had booked a water taxi for Eur70 to go to the station from Ai Reali. The unscrupulous water taxi driver then refused to give us change from Eur100 and pocketed the extra Eur30. He claimed that we had booked the taxi for 3pm instead of 3:15pm. We complained by email to Gianni at reception and he immediately offered us Eur30 compensation. We did not take it as we did not want the hotel to be unfairly penalised by a terrible Venezia Water taxi driver but we truly appreciated how kind and warm Gianni's gesture was - "I know it's a shame to treat like this tourist!" were his exact words. This sets Ai Reali apart from other hotels! We will definitely be coming back here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Stayed here for 5 days from 28 April, in a classic room. Beautiful hotel, clean comfortable room with lovely bathroom, excellent location and friendly staff. Couldn't fault it. Good choice at breakfast, would definitely stay here again.

The Ai Reali was a beautiful surprise. It is literally a few minutes walk from all of the major Venice sites. The Rialto bridge water bus stop is right around the corner. This hotel is exquisite, Murano glass chandelier in the room, gorgeous marble bathroom with an amazing shower. The staff was wonderful from the welcome bottle of Prosecco to help with maps and dinner reservations. Speaking of dinner, the hotel restaurant, Alle Corone was terrific.

I recently travelled to Italy with a group of friends and we spend three nights in Venice before going on to Florence and Rome. The Ai Reali was a highlight of the trip. It has a light, refreshing atmosphere, and is a great location. The rooms are all different, with beautiful furniture, linens and lighting. All very clean and updated. The food at breakfast was delicious. We didn't have other meals at the hotel, but we did have drinks at the bar one evening. The staff at the hotel were very friendly, helpful and charming. One person in our group had to go to the hospital due to a fall while we were in Venice and the concierge staff was extremely helpful in making sure we got to and from the hospital and the 24 hour pharmacy. Definitely recommend this hotel.

I and wife had an exceptional time in AI REALI Hotel, great hospitality, clean and the staff was very attentive. The location of the hotel was superb close to the all the historic and tourist areas, very nice shops and restaurants around. uumm jelato was amasing. We ate in the hotel and i would recommend to anybody to try. the food, environment, music and staff was also wonderful.

Terrific hotel in great location. Breakfast superb and restaurant staff very friendly. Unique decor. Evening concierge a bit unfriendly but otherwise would highly recommend! One block to water bus. Four blocks to Guggenheim with lots of side streets, canals, etc to explore.
