Love this hotel! Everything about this resort is perfect for Venice, you have a peaceful setting away from the crowds, gorgeous grounds, impeccable service, and old world charm. We had a beautiful suite which looked over the canal to St. Marks bell tower-gorgeous. The five minute boat ride actually adds to the experience and is not an inconvenience at all. The pool is delightful and feels old world but in a good way. The staff are fantastic and everyone jumps into make sure that every need is covered. I highly recommend this classic, it deserves all of the accolades it receives.
Well what can one say about such a old time classic with it being a regular haunt for the famous and wealthy, other then it still maintains its charm and to a great extent, provided one is not intimidated or star struck, on balance one is treated well (we are all equal, some more equal then others!)... always a pleasure to revisit!
A classic that, like great wine, keeps improving over time. Always wonderful, always the same, but with little added delicacies like the wonderful new soaps and lotions from the famous Venetian parfumerie The Merchant of Venice, in beautiful blue and gold Murano-inspired bottles.
This property hardly needs my review - it is well-known to be global class. That said, if you desire an absolute certainty of a world-class experience, this is it. Finished out our 25th anniversary in perfect fashion. It is the ONLY way to do Venice.
returning guest, recently stayed for the event, lovely suite overlooking the lagoon, the fact that this is on Guidecca island-which now has some nice rustic bars appearing on the walk up to the Molino Stucky the other end, makes the difference so you can get away from it all, but be so near to the action is a big plus, and the large swimming pool area, nice complimentary shuttle boat sets it off also, The Gritti palce is the only other hotel in venice in the same league, Oro restaurant is excellent as well as the floating Cips(in the summer!!)
Expensive but worth every euro . Definitely we will come there . Perfect Localisation - few minutes by boat to St Mark Place . Taxi boat provides by the Hotel whenever you wish . Amazing food with an Italian touch . Great and very calm Spa - after windy day in Venice , sauna is just perfect solution
Top class hotel, don't think it gets better anywhere in the world. Granted it is expensive, but you get what you pay for. Room had fantastic view overlooking the lagoon and dinner and breakfast both top notch. Added bonus of the swimming pool which really does come in handy on the hotter, more humid days.
We had a lovely 2 days in Venice in November. As it was the birthday/anniversay of my wife and I wanted a special hotel. It was absolutely the right choice. This hotel is truely unique, with charme, great service and attention to detail. Alone to take the hotel boat from and to San Marco is more than romantic. The hotel greeted us with champagne and a delicious dessert. The room had a beautiful view, the best linnen and all perfectly arranged. All this has its price but if you want a truely unique hotel away from the masses of people I can only recommend it.
The Belmond Hotel Cipriani is luxurious and comfortable. Wonderful food and staff is superb. Their private water taxi made it easy to travel into the city and back again. The grounds are beautifully cared for.
A visit to The Cipriani has long been a bucket list item. We were able to take advantage of low season rates to celebrate a big birthday last week. Despite being on a deal the hotel upgraded us and put a card and cake in our room. The hotel is expensive - the prices should not be a shock. The room was nice - lovely comfy bed and all the amenities you would expect. Loved breakfast served the traditional way in our room. We also had a meal in Oro's - the Michelin starred restaurant which was a lovely experience. Working in the hotel trade I would say I have stayed and worked in hotels with equal if not better facilities. What makes the Cipriani special, apart from the history and location is the wonderful staff. Truly professional, discreet and friendly service. An absolutely joy to experience. Thanks to everyone for making this big birthday so memorable .
