Hotel De Hoeve van Nunspeet3.0 out of 5.0

We knew the Hoeve from the olden days. Nowadays it is completely refurbished and looks bright, clean and pretty. The Hoeve is nicely situatied at the brim of the little town of Nunspeet. The food is good, the service up to standard. Car parking places at hand. Rooms are neat and offers you everything you need. Not extra luxury, but good enough for an overnight stay when on tour. In the area nice hikes and bicycling can be done. Nunspeet has a nice and interesting museum Noord Veluwe. Worthwhile you visit. Prices Good Velue for money. For business De Hoeve offers nice meeting facilities. We advice: GO
The hotel is clearly build in the 70's/80's the staff is very young (and probably cheap) but very charming. The hotel is a little dark inside and the rooms are basic but clean and good. They clearly orient on elder tourists that stays here for just one night. Breakfast is very basic and if you're a little late you meet the other guests (and they might overcross you getting coffee ;).
The hotel is situated on the Veluwe in the woody Nunspeet. The decor of rooms, lobby and restaurant is mostly traditional and in keeping with a 3-star hotel. Diner and breakfast bring no surprises, but are of a decent quality.
Wonderfull authentic hotel nearby woods. Very modern rooms with ultra violet and sunlight light in the shower! Wifi was ok. Quiet room, and very clean. The only thing missing was a planchet to put you shampoo. We had a wonderful cosy diner. My steak was not as I wanted it, and I got another, without any problem. The swimmingpool is small, but they have one :). There is a playing ground for little kids nearby. The village has a nice shopping center we realy had a wonderfull time. We will come back next year!
We stayed at the hotel for one night. Good and clean room with good beds. Outdated and small bathroom. Did not use the restaurant, we had diner in the town closeby. Breakfast and staff were nice. Yes the hotel feels as an memory lane trip, but located in a beautifull location and we enjoyed our stay.
Only super-wifi and a 10yr old flatscreen prevented me from thinking I was back in the 70's: the smell of the (horribly small) bathroom, the lack of heating in the room at 12degC ambient temperature, the complete ignorence of the staff, the messy breakfast (nothing refilled, horrible coffee, tables not cleaned prior to new users, rotten fruit) and the complete shortage of parking space. Sad........
I was put up at this hotel as it was close to where a colleague was staying, but believe me if you are travelling on business then avoid this place. There is no Wifi in the rooms, and the rooms are small and crampy with old and outdated equipment. The single room that was given to me had a real small bed to fit a child.
We also stayed here whilst visiting Keukenhof gardens and Het Loo palace with Goldcrest. The hotel is situated in beautiful quiet, wooded surroundings and has a cosy atmosphere. The staff at the hotel were extremely efficient, polite and friendly. The room was very clean and spacious; the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was substantial with lovely fresh rolls. The evening meal was very tasty and filling. All in all, the hotel exceeded our expectations.
Just returned from a visit to Holland and the Bulb fields through Gold Crest Holidays. This trip was outstanding value and Gold Crest were very professional. They helped us out with our luggage and were very friendly and courteous throughout the trip. Long journey both ways but great places to visit once there. The hotel is in a great position and an easy walk to Nunspeet itself. Lots of walks around the hotel and lovely countryside. The meals were set meals but 3 course evening meal very good and pleased everyone. The breakfast was continental with boiled eggs, ham and cheese, lovely. We had lovely weather for the Keukenhof gardens trip and a lovely visit to Het Loo Palace and Harderwijk. Also had a swim in their lovely indoor swimming pool. An amazing value for money trip.
We stayed as part of a coaching holiday. The location of the hotel is great, easy for walking in the forest and the train station is very near giving easy access to many parts of Holland. The rooms are adequate and clean. The staff were friendly and helped whenever possible. We did not really eat at the hotel much as we were visiting family but other visitors told us the food was okay. The bar prices were reasonable and they had a fairly good selection. The entertainment was aimed at older clients but it was okay. The keyboard player could at least play properly, we have stayed several places with keyboard players and this one was certainly the best. It was quite nice to see the German and British guests all joining in together and I think their were several Dutch guests as well. The singer the following night had a good voice (again aimed at older guests) but he tried to accommodate every one. We travelled with Gold crest and the whole trip was very good value for money. The driver and guide were excellent and the hotel a very good base.
