The dinner and the breakfast was really good. The room was very quiet and big but a bit cold. Our bed was ok but the children slept in a sofa bed and it could have been a better bed for them I think. It is only 5 min by car to Kokpunkten.
Stayed a couple of times here due to it being a Scandic hotel. A walking distance from the center. My room was towards the outer side, so some noice from the road during the night. Free parking though, with a roof. Breakfest is good and the beds ok. But the whole picture is quite an old worn hotel. Should be updated.
Stayed overnight passing Västerås. The hotell is one of the poorest in the Scandic family. Personnel was nice anf breakfast good. Parking is free and there is plenty of lots. We arrived late, so I can't say anything about the restaurant. . .
Good, clean 3 star hotel rooms. Eeception at arriving confused and oblivious to reservations made in advance. Restaurant reseevation stated "8 hotel guests", not our name. Seating for dinner, we were immediately asked if wanting to order, but we asked to give us time to review the menu. We got time. Plenty. After 30 minutes, we reminded staff of us waiting. After 15 minutes, us chasing different staff who "couldnt take orders"(???!) One of them took the guts to write down our wishes. 5 minutes, later we learnt most meat was iut. We were offered alternatives, which tasted very good. But why providing such un-structured services initially?
Nice hotel close to E18 but in an industrial area, 1 km from the city center. We asked for a refurbished room, which was nice. The older rooms looked not so nice. The restaurant was good and we had a very nice dinner. The service was a bit slow, but the food was good. Breakfast was also tasty and plenty to choose from. Car parking outside free, they also had a few parking slots under cover, this I did not notice as I arrived in the dark. In the winter those are the parking spots to look for.
For the price of 2000 sek i would appriciate a room that would have had some renovation since the 80s... overall the room was shaggy, the Till er Black åt the bortom and the location not that centred wich made me take a cab aswell. Will not be back.
Terrible service at the restaurant! Terrible service at the front desk. Room was not cleeaned up! My heater was defect - asked several time for help - after 2 nights and several complaints someone payed attention and made it works. Hope to never need to stay again here.
Don't ever think they are open the times they announce. If they have few guests they close earlier. The hotel is very old and worn. Okay if you just want to sleep and do not care about the surroundings.
I loved this place. First of all, the hockey channel was available on my TV even though I only had a standard room. The breakfast was different from the usual Scandic fare, with a lot more options. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was large..I don't know, I just really enjoyed my stay.
Very nice rooms, nice staff and a very pleasant breakfast. The hotel is situated close to the main road E18 which passes through Västerås. It makes it easy to find. The centre of Västerås lies 20 minutes by foot from the hotel and so does the train and bus station. There is a walking path along the lake Mälaren also some 20 minutes by foot away. In the centre there is nice shopping streets and if one continue one enters the old Västerås along the small river Svartån. You can follow Svartån from the centre down to the harbour which takes around 20 minutes on foot. Along the small river there is a large park where people have a break in the summertime. On the other side of Svartån lies the Castle. Actually very nice to walk around if you have some time to spare.
