Our family has stayed at this hotel for years and even though ownership changed, the transition was without hiccup. Rooms always clean, neat, plenty of space with wonderful beds. You feel as if you are at home and the staff could not be more welcoming!
We stayed here the last night of our trip before flying out of PDX. Like others have mentioned it is a bit less expensive over the bridge in WA. This is a first generations Residence Inn so it is quite old but it is well kept up and a quiet clean place. I am not a fan of the Gen 1 Residence Inns but this one was OK.
We spent a night here and were very happy with our choice. The room was like new, with nice furnishings and a beautiful fully equipped kitchenette. The king bed was quite comfortable. Bathroom was nice. There is even a fireplace! The breakfast was good, with eggs, sausage, fruit, waffle makers, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, etc. Check in was fast. Only complaint is the "business center" consists of one old computer, and a printer that wouldn't work. Everything else was fantastic. I didn't try the wi-fi. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
I've found it's hard to go wrong with the Residence Inn brand. This property in Vancouver, WA (just north of Portland) was very nice. Guest rooms are in buildings scattered around the property with nice grounds, a pool, a fire pit/BBQ area, and pickle ball court. Staff were friendly and helpful. The full breakfast was exactly what you'd expect--scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. The location was good just off I-205/Hwy 500. Good place if you're staying in Vancouver.
Stayed two nights here in August 2017 and it was a nice change from other Residence Inns I've stayed at. I lived in one for a year while attending school last year and this one was a much nicer property. Upon check in, they staff recognized the Platinum Premier status and gave a very nice upgrade to a bi-level, two bedroom, two bathroom suite with a fireplace. The room was huge and had plenty of space to stretch out and relax. Comfortable bed, super cold air conditioning (personal preference), hot water on demand in the shower and impeccably clean. Parking if free and is around the perimeter of the property. We found a spot next to our building each night and only had to walk 20 steps or so. One drawback for disabled or those with difficulty using stairs, the second floor rooms have no elevator. If you require an ADA room or don't want to use stairs, you will be on the first floor. Breakfast was adequate the next morning, although the hours were very short. I am used to a 6:00 to 10:00 or some variation, but this hotel chooses a 7:00 to 9:00. Not horrible, but it crowds everyone in to a short time slot instead of spreading them out. Also, not being an early riser, I was forced to set an alarm to take advantage of the breakfast. All staff were incredibly engaging and personable. I used the mobile app prior to arrival to chat and they responded very quickly. Another nice touch since this isn't always the case. As crazy as it sounds, we also used the fireplace one night. I was ridiculously hot outside, but we wanted to enjoy a bottle of wind and unwind one night after a busy day. We stopped at Safeway and grabbed a Duraflame log (I think they also sell them at the front desk). There are glass windows on the fireplaces, so we just lit the log, closed the glass and had the AC on. Nice touch if you want to have a little romantic evening. I would stay here again for short or long term stays. Recommended!
My family and me loved this place. You really felt like you were in a little community rather than hotel. The atmosphere walking around was very homey and the rooms are studio apartments. The breakfast area is very busy in the morning with a good selection to chose from. Yes, most definitely want to stay here again!
Convenient to freeway, mall, and restaurants. Loved the amenities, spacious rooms, pool, pleasant staff, excellent breakfasts and evening happy hour. Marriott does a quality job! We'll be back next time we come to the Portland metro area.
With Portland, Oregon hotels way to expensive, I decided to stay in Vancouver, WA and save at least $40 each night. This is an older Residence Inn (outside entrance) but very nice. I was able to get an upgrade and the suite (with an upstairs bedroom and bath) was great. Too bad it was 108 degrees outside because it came with a fireplace. Breakfast in the morning was also tasty. Friendly staff. Close to a shopping mall if interested (I wasn't) and there is a Starbucks in walking distance. Would highly recommend.
Great location outside of Portland traffic. Right off the freeway. Across from the mall with lots of food and shopping options. Walking distance to a fantastic steakhouse inside Heathman's Lodge at adjoining property. Clean hotel many rooms (if not all) have fireplaces. Workout room is pretty well equipped.
We had a fabulous 4 night stay here on our recent road trip. The suite was clean and spacious. The breakfast was really good. They even have gluten free cereal, sausage and bagels which is a great bonus to me. We were really glad that we chose this hotel. Also it is in a good location - handy for the major highways but nicely tucked away too.
