This hotel was comfortable. The staff were businesslike. We stayed on a half board basis and the food was dismal. Congealed sauces out of packets, mass produced frozen food, the worst curry I have ever tasted. Need I continue.
Would definitely not use this hotel again . My bedroom was at the front of the hotel and the noise of the traffic disturbed my sleep . The bedrooms were very warm at night and no air conditioning. Breakfast was good but dinner at night was very poor quality . Staff not very friendly .We were charged 15euro per head for a packed lunch ( optional for the days hiking ) which contained , a small bottle of water , a bread roll with ham and cheese, a piece of fruit and a yogurt . In my opinion way over priced .
We arrived here as part of a hill walking holiday for a weeks stay .there were 33 others who were part of the group arriving from Ireland . As soon as we arrived we were asked for passports and rooom keys given . There was no hello , no welcome , no advice on breakfast and dinner absolutely no conversation from the guy at reception and this was for all of us. When we went for dinners the waiters would not say a single word or ask anything they just put a sheet of paper with menu and we were supposed to tick our choice . They brought the plates and literally shoved in front of us . They used to keep bread and we had to ask for butter every single night . The food was very bad quality and there was not much choice . After few of us complained we were given half litre wine each night as per our tour operator Topflight.ie. they used to bring the first jugs initially and we had to always ask for our second one for the table. Even if we said thanks many times they would never acknowledge same expect one waiter. On our second last day I did say to the waiter that we were not eating free dinners and drinking free wine and we had already paid for it. After that they started saying hello and were smiling . And they all knew English pretty well. Giorgio at reception was the guy who had hospitality skills and made an effort to talk. We all felt that a manager should be around and check if all going well when we were such a large group.The entertainment team were brilliant. Rooms were clean and spotless everyday but it is all very dirty in the corridors and unclean in lift and common areas . Overall I have given this hotel two star as service was pretty bad if not for the group from Kerry and Wicklow our holiday would have been a total disaster. We highly recommend this town but certainly not this hotel .
Thanks heaven we stayed there for 1 night only, very disappointed by this hotel and by the staff at the reception. First of all we couldn't find it even with the sat nav on, when we got there they didn't have a parking space available although we required one when we booked our stay, the room was scary and dark and we had a very loud neighbours that went on arguing well in through the night when they eventually stopped we could hear cars driving through as our room was just above a very busy road. The only decent thing was the coffee they served for breakfast and the waiter was a very nice person.
There is no GOOD rating sadly as that would describe our stay best. Check in was easy. We arrived around lunchtime and our rooms were ready which is always a bonus. We dashed off to ski for the afternoon utilising the very good shuttle bus to the lifts. This service was very reliable. The room was very clean. So was the bathroom. Good selection of toiletries. I would actually rate the housekeeping as EXCELLENT. Breakfast was fine. Usual mountain selection of pastries, fruit, yoghurt etc. Eggs if you asked for them. Staff were very friendly. The lounge areas are comfortable and welcoming. All the staff nice. Reasonable value for a weekend in March. Definitely better value than other places some friends stayed at.
We were 88 people from my workplace and we had an amazing weekend at this hotel. The members of staff were really helpful, organised, friendly and they helped us to feel at home. There was a shuttle "car" to take us everywhere, i.e. skiing resort, nightclubs and the driver was also the karaoke singer, priceless! If I've ever have the opportunity to come back to Courmayeur, this is the place to be. Thanks for your patient and hospitality, we really had a memorable weekend and we could not achieve it without your help. The only complain...the Wifi was not great, only available on communal areas
We have organized a group event at the Hotel Mont Blanc. We didn't only have nice hotel rooms, but also a very good meal on Friday evening at our arrival in the hotel. The hotel helped us in organizing ski passes/ski lessons and a dinner on Saturday night on the slopes, Spa retreats. They are very attentive to all our requests also thanks to a great animation group. We felt taken care off every minute of our stay. We will go back!
I and my wife stayed 7 nights in this hotel, from 1st to 7th of June, 2015. The weather was very warm ( 27-30 degrees C), no rain. The location is near the road (not hear the noise, if the room is back the hotel) and the village center(here is also the bus terminal). The room is not too large , but clean and the bath is new). The meal is good, but not so vary, and the staff was polite and very fast in solving all the problems. You can easy to plan a lot of trips, because is close to the bus terminal (2-5 minutes , by walk) and you can take it for Aosta (the capital of the region), and from Aosta you can take the train for Torino (about 1 hour to Aosta, by bus and 2 hours to Torino, by train). Also, you can visit -passing Mont Blanc or San Bernard Tunnels-, Geneva, Lausanne, Montreaux, Bern, Annecy, Chamonix.
The rooms were small and fairly basic. The toiletry products were cheap. The public spaces were decorated in a bland and uninteresting way, making the floors look dirty. These are minor things. There are three major things. 1. Hotel internet service is available only in the lobby. This is a disgrace. No 4 star hotel should be permitted to offer anything other than full internet service throughout--this is a basic requirement. Many two and one star hotels already do, and certainly every 3 star and above I have stayed at recently does. It was free. 2. Breakfast was pathetic. The orange juice was fake and tasted totally artificial. Even more outrageous is that the yoghurt on offer is synthetic and made with tons of artificial ingredients. Have some pride people! Valle d'Aosta is home to some of the greatest fresh yoghurt made in the world, some of the best dairy, and many other delights that should be in evidence, not the sea of junk food and poor quality pastries on offer. 3. Service is not friendly. It isn't unfriendly either, it is just not smiling, welcoming, but rather indifferent. Their recommendations of local shops and restaurants were a little suspect--either pushing us to places where they might get kickbacks or were recommended because friends worked there…not because they were any good. If this is how they are in summer, I shudder to think how they are when it is peak ski season. I am sure to not return.
This was my first visit in Valle D'Aosta for a vacation and must admit I was impressed. This hotel is situated near the village center of Courmayeur; only a 10 minute walk. The room was really cute and the atmosphere is cottage-style throughout. Staff was friendly and polite, and the offered buffet breakfast varied and abundant. All sorts of tastes were catered for. In the evening there was also some entertainment by a local singer on a daily basis, up till 11pm. One could also indulge in some karaoke.....guts permitting :) The only negative remark I have about this particular hotel is that it only offers free Wi-Fi in the reception and lounge areas, and it is an extremely slow connection. The same applies for the area restaurants we visited. So, if you are highly dependent on your techie gadgets I would recommend you opt for a different destination altogether... For the rest it's thumbs up!!
