Beautiful Apartments very well equipped kitchen! In a perfect location in the old town. Within easy reach to the fabulous food market which is a must to see! There is a restaurant attached to the apartments - we had an amazing breakfast during our stay. There is a reception where you could ask them to make reservations etc and also a lounge area where drinks (including sparking wine/coffee/water etc is included in your stay) Alex looked after us on arrival and gave us some fantastic recommendations! We will most definitely stay again!
If you are a person that like to enjoy hotels not only to have a place to sleep at but to enjoy their architecture and amenities this is your place. The room we stayed at was very cozy with plenty of space, beautifully decorated and clean. I loved that they offer L'Occitane products for use as shampoo, body wash and hand soap. They have a variety of pillows to choose from also. The hotel was many areas to sit and relax, to work or just to have some drinks. The location is perfect, in a major street with restaurants, bars and cafes near by. I would love to come back and stay for more than one night.
We enjoyed our stay in the Palais de Rojas which is a charming aparthotel in a heritage building which has been cleverly restored and renovated into apartments. The staff at reception were very helpful, polite and friendly. The comfortable, clean apartment (with quality toiletries) overlooked the terrace which is a quieter option although there is still noise heard from neighbouring apartments and outside at times. The complimentary bar is a bonus and the terrace would be a perfect location to enjoy a drink and read a book if it was not also home to several flea ridden urban cats. The location for sight seeing is perfect for walking everywhere and there are plenty of nearby cafes, restaurants and bars for breakfasts, lunches and evening meals. We ate at the restaurant attached to the hotel on our first evening and it was very good quality food but unfortunately they only alter their menu weekly so we didn't go again as there is plenty of restaurant choices in Valencia.
I can't say enough about Palacio de Rojas. The acclamations were great. Amazing lobby and more than adequate apartment. The air conditioning worked fine. The bed was comfortable. And so on. But what was particularly great were the staff and the bar/terrace. We were met at check in by Alejandro who greeted us and asked us to have a seat on the terrace. First we showed us the room just off the terrace where until 9:00pm there was a free bare. White, red, rose and cava. Beer and water. When Alejandro returned he had a pen and a city map. With great authority he told us, "I'm going to show you where you want to go and where you want to avoid." Somehow he had read us like a book. He pointed out all sorts of things that were exactly the type of things we like to do, especially in a city we've never been to before. What really struck us was when he told us that we were un the edge of a very interesting neighborhood (the name escapes me) and advised us to just walk out the hotel and get lost. That suggestion was right in our wheelhouse and wander the neighborhood we did. Tapas bars and restaurants abound. And, most importantly, the densest collection of street are that I've seen anywhere outside of Berlin. All in all this is a wonderful place to stay. One word of caution, we had a car with us and the hotel provided detailed directions to access the hotel by car. However, the directions were not easy to follow and it took us a long, long time to find our destination.
This is one of the nicest properties we have ever stay at. The staff except one (see later) were wonderful and very helpful. The apartment well exceeded our expectations as it is large and nicely furnished. Lots of little extras which will really make your stay comfortable. Attention to detail was impressive with even a detailed map of restaurants and attractions hand drawn. Our only negative was breakfast. On the first day we were nicely welcomed in the restaurant and seated comfortably. The food was amazing and we were excited to return on day 2. On the second day no one to meet us and then when the waiter appeared he told us we could seat ourselves. We did at the same table we had the day before. The waiter the came to us aggressively and told us we could not have that table as he needed it for someone else. He did it in such a tone we were embarrassed and just got up and left. We purchased breakfast at another restaurant own the road. We passed by the restaurant later and the table was still empty. We would saty at the hotel again but with no breakfast.
The hotel is so charming; updated but still grounded in their roots of heritage. We were met with the most helpful employee and encouraged to sit on the terrace with a glass of wine while he took care of all the check in details :) Once we got to our room, Loft 5, I was so pleasantly surprised... it was like a 1 bedroom apartment, fully furnished with a kitchen! They set up the cutest day bed for our son. We felt so comfortable and at home. It was really hard to leave. Our room was street facing but the slight noise we did hear didn't bother us nor affect our sleeping. The area is great, so walkable and near many great sites to see. We used the hotel as a home base, because it was so near everything, and in between site seeing used the terrace for a glass of wine (or 2). The most surprising thing was the complimentary bar down at the terrace and they had a selection of white, red, rose and champagne. What a treat!! All the staff members we encountered we above and beyond friendly and helpful - and not in a fake way. I was really blown away with this hotel and the service.
We stayed in Palacio de Rojas for 3 nights with a large group of 20 men. This hotel is truly fantastic, as is the breakfast! Very clean rooms (apartments in our case), friendly and helpful staff. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Valencia at a top-location in the old city!
We stayed for a week in the attic apartment with the most perfect terrace. Bedrooms were fine, the kitchen area was good and well enough equipped for our needs. The living area is small (but unnecessary as we were always on the terrace). The bathroom was a bit challenging, as the loo was very tight to the shower, but it was clean and we managed OK with it. To be honest, with the terrace being so perfect we could forgive a lot. It had a covered dining area and comfortable seating area, plus two sun lounger areas in the sun at different times of the day, if you wanted to spend the day sunbathing. Perfectly located just a few minutes from the Central Market or plaza de la virgen. It's a bit noisy in this area late in to the evening but inside the apartment it's fine and we slept well. We will definitely stay here again.
Palacio de Rojas is absolutely a top accomodation to stay whilst visiting Valencia. Our appartment nr 22 was clean, large, nice furnished and quietly situated at the back of the hotel. Free tea, coffee, water, wine, and cava is at everyone’s disposal! The large balcony, was big enough for at least 8 people. Besides the accomodation, we also need to mention the very kind and helpful staff. Always there to help with any kind of questions. Thank you Alejandro for your great hospitality! Don’t look for an other option to have your breakfast as well, go to the hotel Restaurant. See my other tripadvisor comment for Restaurant El Papagayo del Carmen. Thank you all very much for the pleasant stay, espescially because you make our mother, (80th birthday celebration), the happiest mom for anyway these 4 days!
We had a large apartment in Palacio de Rojas for a few days in Valencia and we enjoyed it a lot. It is perfectly located just a few minutes away from the main attractions in downtown Valencia. Clean, spacious room with a modern bathroom and great shower. Nothing to complain about. The staff were great: we arrived during the Fallas, the crazy celebrations (that last some two weeks) in Valencia, and we had major problems parking the car in the old area (as most of the streets in the city center were closed), but the hotel's staff were amazing. They did all they could to make sure we sold this problem For those who want to stay in downtown Valencia, this place is a really good choice.
