The hotel over booked due to that my family at to book some where else so I couldn't see my family on our family holiday they was at the beach and I don't no how to get there so I never see them on our holiday! Thanks to the Borgia hotel and Travel Republic I never got the holiday I payed for never would I go for this hotel and travel republic again....
The hotel is in a great location for shops, restaurants and parks. No overnight parking... there is an underground carpark just down the street but it advertises at €4 a day but every day we got charged between €6-9, but it seems like a secure car park so we didn't mind paying the extra. The hotel is very welcoming and smells great when you walk through to reception. Lovely selection of toiletries in the bathroom (see pic) All the staff, inc housekeeping take the time to talk to you. The only downside to the service is that its very slow! nearly every night we waited over 15 mins at the bar to get a drink (nobody around, not busy), then you wait for them to bring the drinks then you wait for them to show up again so you can pay. Shame there's no pool or parking as we may opt for elsewhere next time depending on price.
Our late phone booking for an overnight stay was handled with efficiency and charm. Located in central Gandia, this hotel was quiet, very clean and, with comfortable beds, we slept well. In mid-August the air conditioning was essential and that, too, worked quietly. We enjoyed a relaxed evening in the bar/ restaurant where we shared a few plates of local fare. Most other guests were Spaniards - families who seemed to have spent the day on nearby beaches but chose this more economical option for their holiday accommodation. ( As the only rooms, available beside the beaches, that night were quadruple the price of Hotel Borgia, it's not hard to see why this is a sensible option for anyone on a budget.) Not chosen for its character, this is a very good option for anyone in need of simple accommodation. All staff were helpful and as efficient as reception. We have paid far more for much less, Hotel Borgia is definitely in our contacts book for future use.
June 2016 3* Hotel but in many ways I thought it should have been higher. Staff were all lovely & spoke English, French, Spanish & Valencian Room was cleaned daily a good size & beds very comfortable. Bathroom was clean but the tiles were a little old. The room was on the 6th floor had air conditioning but it was not very powerful so I would not have liked to stay in the height of summer. The hotel is situated very close to the main Paseo de Germanias in Gandia Town.
Very clean and very nice staff. It doesn't have a Car park but you have a 24h park for 4€ 200m down the road. The Restaurant is awesome. Very nice meal for 10€. Don't look any further. Walked around for 1h and found nothing at all. The hotel could improve sat tv as you only have a few Spanish channels. Overall a place to come back if travelling on business.
Rooms bad equipped, old furniture, walls filthy, switches very filthy, air conditioned not working in my room. Free wifi. Free w bottle of water. a strange smell in the room. My room was spacious. The corridors are in very bad shape. The carpet of the staircase is foul of dust. NOT recommended!!
Hotel is near to the central area of Gandia and about 5 minutes in a car to the playa which should not be missed. Hotel rooms look a bit tired and the beds really do creak however the bedroom was spotlessly clean and everything worked as it should. Breakfast was really good with an excellent selection of sweet and savoury items and as you would expect in Spain a very good selection of fruit. Room prices about 49€ per night for a double including breakfast so check out the offers and for a very reasonable price you can stay in a decent hotel. There is no parking but a free car park is around the corner. Top tip: do not get allocated a room ending 01 e.g. 401 as the lift shaft is next to your room and the lifts are noisy and seem to be used 24/7! Very easy walk to the main attractions of Gandia and in a place with a number of excellent bars and restaurants. Worth a stay if you are on a budget.
Rooms very average, but I didn't expect anything more from a 3* hotel, I needed a cheap bed for two days and this hotel did the job perfectly. Breakfast in the morning was lovely, ham and cheese selection was spot on, as well as fresh pastries. However, no hair dryers or washing essentials in the bathroom which was a bit of a let down if you're travelling lightly with hand luggage.
Parking is around the corner on a vacant lot, breakfast is extremely frugal, many school group of noisy school kids. I was looking forward to coming to Gandia but this hotel has tainted what should have been a pleasant experience! I shall never stay here again or recommend it!
This hotel needs a good spring clean and overhaul. The furniture in the rooms was worse for wear. I found an old sandwich in the minibar/fridge and an empty water bottle in the wardrobe. The staff need customer service training in charm and helpfulness. A smile would not have gone amiss.
