The room was quite dated and dim but looked clean. The sliding door was hard to close fully and the hand towel was near the loo bowl. The loo bowl wobbled while seated on it ;(. Also the desk was placed just so that you couldn't put the travel adapter into the socket and it was too heavy to budge. There were no sockets near one bed and the rest at weird positions so you had to put your phone on the carpet while charging it. However, when we went for dinner at their restaurant downstairs, the staff were very friendly and professional and the paella delicious. The breakfast buffet was good as well.
I was very impressed from the value for money we got in the hotel. For the price of only 50€ per night incl breakfast we had a: -comfortable room - pool - small Fitness room - good breakfast. Probably there are better hotels in Valencia, but for the price it is the best value for money I had since long time. In the end there was nothing to be really unhappy about. The city center can be easily reached by feed in 20-30 minutes or by bus in 10 minutes.
This place is the pitts. Just stay elsewhere. The aircon was off in the rooms because of the time of year, even though the temp was mid to high 20's, which made sleeping on the tiny, rock hard bed even more difficult. The heat in the room made me feel sweaty and uncomfortable. The window faced the room opposite, which was about 2 meters away, so I could see right into their room, and they could see right into mine. Not nice. Apart from that, the floor of the room was damaged, the decor was old, there was no iron or ironing board (essential on a business trip) nor was there one available to borrow. The corridors smelt of cigarette smoke, although not enough to cover the smell of sewerage. The front desk staff were not very pleasant, although the cleaners, bar and dining room staff were nice. The walls are paper thin, and as everyone has their windows open due to the heat, this created a lot of extra noise. This hotel was just really, really unpleasant. All of our party of 12 people all had a similar experience. The gym is completely ridiculous. There are a handful of free weights and some beaten up machines, in a tiny room on the roof, with no aircon or water. How anyone can give this place a decent review is beyond my comprehension. The only redeeming features is that it is fairly close to the science park, which is incredible. If Trip Advisor could allow me to give a minus 5 star review, I would still think that was being generous. AVOID!
I am only going to write two things on this review as they spoiled the whole experience of staying here. I am sure the residents of Valencia feel that 28 degrees of heat and bright sunshine is Winter to them, but to others it is not. To decide to switch off the hotel air conditioning in the guest rooms is appalling. My room had two windows which opened about an inch and to be honest it was like a sauna, but the Hotel refused to turn the A/Cback on stating "its winter ". Also, when I opened my windows, the street smelled of sewerage, so you can imagine what that was like. Sadly my company had prepaid and I couldnt switch hotels, but, I will not be back on this evidence. Shame, because Valencia is lovely - next time i'll find a lovel hotel.
Good: Free parking, coffee capsules at breakfast, reception staff Bad: Room, small, dark, internal, not 20 m as I booked. Mattress — with springs, unsleepable. Air conditioning does not work properly. Windows you can’t open as it’s noisy and smelly inside the yard. Bed is small for 2. You hear every flush or water use in other rooms. Room is dark, requires light 24h. Wardrobe in the bathroom. Gym with no water. Breakfast not tasty for healthy vegan.
Loved proximity to park, room was comfortable, but Wi-Fi in room was weak. The room was well maintained, the bed comfortable, nice view. Breakfast was included, even though I did not pay extra for it. It was offered upon booking and I did not choose it. On the first morning there we thought we'd try the hotel for breakfast and gave our room number, thinking it would be added to the bill later, it wasn't. The breakfast was good, and seems even better now that it's free. Service was hit and miss. They were not rude, but did nothing above and beyond. Only seemed to want to do just enough. The no TIP culture is a 2 edge sword. I think I like tipping better. I'm a tight wad, but don't mind paying extra, or rewarding good service. I also like showing appreciation for great service and seeing the reaction. The pool here was dead. The bar wasn't open, so no food or drinks. No umbrellas, nothing but a pool. A bit disappointing.
Lovely hotel. Very clean. We asked for a quiet room and we were at the end of the corridor with a great view. The room was a really good size with a really big bed. Breakfast was very nice with plenty to chose from. Location was good and the staff very pleasant and helpful.
Clean rooms, bed and bathroom right in the heart of Valencia just a stone throw away from the Turia Park, Gulliver Park (great for kids!) and the Santiago Calatrava edifices. The buffet breakfast is varied ranging from fresh fruits, cheeses, hams and different breads to bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages. You can book the breakfast in advance or pay 9€/head. In the evenings, the restaurant offers a set meal for 16€ excluding drinks. The starter and main course options are enticing and there is something for every palate. The rooftop pool on the 7th floor is ok to cool off but definitely not for avid swimmers at it is approx. 10m x 10m. Underground parking is available for about 12€/day. If you are lucky to find a spot, you can park outside the hotel without the need to pay anything. Wifi is complementary and works well throughout the building.
I was very disappointed with my stay here, the front desk staff and management weren’t helpful at all! There was an incident that occurred as soon as we got there and it was handled terribly! For a very sensitive situation, there was not much help and understanding. The lack of security made us feel unsafe all 3 nights, I felt very unsettling and insecure.
Our passport and important ID's were stolen on the first day of our stay from within the hotel! Hotel staff did not call the Police for us and said it was 'our problem' and we had to deal with it alone. We had to travel from Valencia to Madrid to get this all sorted and it cost us over 250GBP. We stayed in an Economy double room which was incredibly small. We upgraded to a bigger room, only to find our the Air Con does not work (mid August). We got moved to a smaller room again and we found it has no lock on the door. Worst expericance ever, all related to secuirty of the hotel, to unhelpful staff.
