We have stayed here for 7 days in August 2017. It was our second time in this hotel. We had a room with a beautiful view. The food was very good. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. There is an indoor swimming pool, ping pong table & large chess board on the terrace. Very nice. Family Van Aken, Belgium

we went for a summer vacation in sass fee. The hotel owners were just great. So knowlagebale, helpful and freindly. When we arrived we were offered a welcome drink in the balcony viewing the alps. what a great way to start. the hotel spa is a woww. Great saunas great relaxing zone. The rooms are not new but well kept and clean. Free wifi is available. Breakfast is good and the hotal restaurant serve a descent dinner. The only thing to improve - the elevators......

We enjoyed or five days stay at the Metropol hotel in Saas-Fee! We lived in the room 307 witch is in the North West corner at the third floor of the building, through the windows we had a great view on the mountains and the Valley in spite of the fact, that the usual view in Saas-Fee is normally south in direction of the Allalin mountain. For example the picture of the the Dom Mischabel 4545 meter is taken from or room. The room was very comfortable, the only things we regretted was that we had 2 beds side by side and not a great king-size bed. We appreciate the location 5 minutes far from de bus station and 5-10 minutes to go to the Gondola, we did not make use of the free shuttle service of the hotel, because we like to walk… We appreciate the Breakfast with great choice of salty and sweet food, with a multiple choice of Fruits juices and the opening time from 07:00 to 11:00 am. This makes it possible to have the first Ski ride before breakfast. We appreciate especially the chief lady she was always ready to help us with a large smile, the staff has so a good example to follow. We appreciate also the spa and swimming pool nevertheless the spa is only open in the afternoon this comes a little short. All over all we can warmly recommend this hotel.

I can recommend this hotel for bed and breakfast as the welcome is warm and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast buffet excellent. The restaurant isn't at all attractive, has no atmosphere and weird furnishing. The 6 course dinner was tasteless, overcooked and uninspired. There are many better places to go for dinner in the village. e.g. traditional cheese fondue in a quaint chalet, steak house or alpine chic. Saasfee offers a good choice of high quality food in traditional or stylish surroundings. I definitely recommend booking a table in advance during the high season.

I had the lovely experience of eating at the Metropol for a week in January. The food was delicious but what impressed me most was the helpful, friendly thoughtful staff. Nothing was ever a bother. I smile when I remember sitting by the fire and a moment later someone came to add wood and stoke the fire for me. I have very warm feelings for the Metropol. Thanks to all for making my experience so good.

We stayed five nights with our family for skiing vacation and were extremely happy with our stay. The positives: - Centrally located in the middle of the village, max. five minutes distance from lifts - Complimentary Electric Taxi service from bus station, to ski lifts etc - Great spa with 3 saunas and small pool to relax after day out - Great variety breakfast and also smaller Dinner (two course) at reasonable price 29 sfr per person -Hotel owners very friendly - you see that the hotel is in same family for almost 125 years ! - Nice lobby to read, enjoy the fireplace, take a drink Improvements: -Cleaning of the room could still be slightly improved even if no big issue -mini bar is in room but is locked - might be asked to be opened which we didnt do - water boiler and coffee / tea in room would be nice Overall great price quality ratio for Swiss mountain resort. Saas Fee is more quiet version from neighbour Zermatt but the mountains are really great - no matter if winter or summer

Hotel Metropol was wonderful. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, clean and spacious. Everyone was very helpful. Room had a great view of the mountains. Conveniently located in the center of the village.

I used Hotel Metropol for a series of meetings and for breakfast and dinner in February 2016. The food and service were excellent and the staff notably friendly to a solo traveller. I cannot comment on rooms as I didnt stay overnight. The central location and quiet professional style were ideal for my purposes especially meeting people in the spacious, comfortable lobby area. Finally the management were very helpful in recieving deliveries for me in advance of my arrival.

We had been last week for ski Holidays. Not only were we mystified with the beauty of the snow classed glacier Alps, but with the friendliness and hospitality of the hotel. Quick check-in with welcome drinks, lovely view from the window of the scenic village, wellness centre was perfect after a long tiring day of skiing. Food was outstanding and so delicious and breakfast was well presented everyday. Few things that niggled me, no hair dryer in the rooms, pool water was very cold. Room was a bit small and at times too hot and hence felt cluttered with all our stuff as storage space was a bit less but nonetheless very comfortable and cosy room and hospitality was very genuine. Hotel electric bus service was great. All the bars and shops were close by and we had a skii room to store our skii gear provided with the stay close to the slopes. Thanks for everything we will be back again in saas fee, hopefully sooner 😀

It's my third stay in this hotel, and hopefully not the last. The hotel is very conveniently located in the village, a few minutes walk from the "Alpin Express" toward the slopes. The staff is very friendly. It's a family-run hotel and you can chat with the owners if you want to. Saas-Fee is a car-free village. The hotel's electric cart brings you from the car park or to the lifts. The room I had was refurbished, clean and cozy. The restaurant is nice. Good variety of menus and great breakfast. I really liked the eggs in the morning. Fresh and tasty. The hotel is aging, but refurbishment of some of the rooms took place and should go on.
