I couldn't be happier with Europe Hotel & Spa. First of all, the location was perfect for me. Just two blocks away from the main shopping street and the action - I prefer a more quiet location - but still in the middle of everything. There were restaurants and shopping just steps away from the hotel, but on a quieter street. The location was also halfway between the Gonergrat Rail and the Matterhorn Express gondolas - so just over all everything was in a convenient walking distance. The room had a spectacular view of the Matterhorn with a nice sized deck to relax on. Again, the quieter location provided a beautiful, peaceful setting. The room itself was spacious and the design was very modern, yet cozy. For the very reasonable price I paid - I was very impressed. The staff was friendly and helpful. From making appointments for a massage (great!) to the breakfast service (awesome big tasty selection) to tips around town. I will certainly be back.

Comfortable room, great location, delicious breakfast, relaxing spa area, friendly service! Could you ask for anything more???? We booked last minute and were delightfully surprised at how wonderful everything was from top to bottom. Highly recommend this hotel and Zermatt!
The rooms were wonderful and the hotel is in a great location. The staff were interesting. Not extremely helpful. They wanted you to dine with them nightly and pushed for that by sharing that we would be unlikely to eat at a restaurant elsewhere because it was to busy. For Christmas dinner they said all the resturantes in town closed. So we signed up for dinner. The main issue was is that they have no choices. Only one entree ect. Which I understand as it is a small hotel. But we had some dietary needs also. We had no problem getting into any restaurants to eat and on Christmas Day all the resturantes were open. The massage therapist was awesome though!!! The rooms were beautiful and a wonderful large tub!
My wife and I stayed here for 3 days and had such a great time. The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful with suggestions on restaurants and hiking. Felix, the bartender, was so awesome to talk with and so friendly. The owner is friendly and makes sure you’re having a good stay. Our room with a Matterhorn view was incredible. The cleaning staff was very nice as well. Overall, the hotel is beautifully designed and close to everything in Zermatt. We will definitely stay here again!
we booked this online expecting a decent hotel; kinda nice but nothing special. We were very surprised and pleased at ever aspect of the hotel. Very good location, quiet part of Zermatt, yet close to restaurants and shops. Excellent included breakfast. The room was cute, with all required amenities. Robe, safe, slippers, hair dryer, large closet, wifi, TV (which we never used), comfortable bed, mini-bar, nice bathroom, patio deck OVERLOOKING THE MATTERHORN! Yes! We enjoyed late afternoons with a cocktail on this deck looking at the Matterhorn. Crazy. We ate dinner one night at the house restaurant out of convenience when it was raining, and were stunned at the fantastic quality of the food, service, presentation, and price. Fine dining. They have a large spa which we used after our long hikes - so soothing. No hidden charges - everything was included. They even have a shuttle to and from the train station.
I have been staying in Zermatt for a couple weeks now and I love it ! My stay at Hotel Europe was my favorite! It's in a great quiet location and 3-5 minute walk from all the action. I liked the warm cozy atmosphere in the lobby and bar and the staff all had great attitudes and always smiling. They were quick to fulfill and accomidate my in room request as well as other request like ski passes and dinner reservations......... My room had an awesome view of the Matterhorn and was very comfortable overall. I loved having an evening drink at the bar, I met some great people that I made friends with and skied together.

Everyone went out of their way to provide excellent service. For language challenged touristS almost all the staff members spoken English. A comfortable room and a short walk to a fantastic view of the Matterhorn. What a wonderful weekend with a surprise of 500+ Alphorns playing to set a Guiness world record. All weekend long small groups of performers made impromptu demonstrations of their playing skills. The mountains rang with music day and night!
Wonderful, attentive owner and staff. Great room and restaurant. Great breakfast/brunch. Did not have time to use the spa but must be decent from the looks of it. Definitely worth going to.

Nice hotel, friendly helpful staff. I might have overpaid a little, but they were really nice and the breakfast was great (great view of Matterhorn too). I sort of messed up and got to Zermatt late so I had to take a taxi and call ahead to the hotel (but they left a key out for me). So make sure to plan on getting to Zermat during the day so you can take the train to the city. Have fun!
