Seamless stay. Courteous helpful staff. close proximity to shopping and skiing. Ski valet the secret to a ski vacation. Wonderful all around experience.

Our stay was wonderful! Hotel staff were welcoming, professional and friendly! Our stay was pleasant! The place is rustic but updated; what you would expect at a mountain resort!

The location couldn't have been more perfect. The lifts were literally right outside the hotel, and its a short walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Since I was pregnant and couldn't ski, I attended the spa. It was a bit overpriced (they usually are) but it was very nice and relaxing. I was on vacation so I didn't mind treating myself. I would definitely go back!!

I needed a place to stay for one night and this hotel offered a good value for the area. My only complaint is that they didn't offer good meal options.

They have done a great job updating the rooms. Had the deluxe king room which had two closets (great for all.the ski gear), large bathroom with stand up shower and soaking tub and double vanity, and modern decor. You really cannot beat this location. We would walk 100 yards in our ski boots to the gondola. Service was top notch. Older resort but they have done a great job staying current. It's my go-to place in Vail. The spa is fantastic too!

My wife and I stayed here over a long weekend to celebrate her birthday. The staff at the Lodge at Vail was wonderful, and were quick with recommendations for dinner and activities. Good beds, great pool, excellent spa . . . just what we needed. Highly recommended.

I have traveled around the world for work and pleasure, and the staff at The Lodge in Vail is bar-none the Friendliest, most helpful, and overall BEST I have ever experienced in my life. I will only stay at the Lodge in Vail from now on because of the great staff.

my first time in vail and I had a great experience, the lodge was an excellent hotel

The staff could not have been better. Example, tv wouldn't work and they sent Patrick right up who immediately figured out that cleaning staff had jarred the connection and fixed it right away. A few minutes later we got a handwritten note from the front desk apologizing for any inconvenience. Great location in the heart of Vail village.

The hotel was in a great location. We had a room on the 4th floor overlooking the village of Vail and the mountain. The room with a good size with a refrigerator and safe. We would definitely stay her again and recommend it to our friends and family.

I stayed just by myself and the location is unbeatable, nice room a little cramped but nice, nice bathroom, service ok, as it has a back door you can go straight to the village or gondola 1 in one minute. Needs ski valet, like other luxury hotels. Room service should go later than 22:00 hrs.

We stayed here on a Sunday night after a day of skiing. The hotel is very nice. You can valet your car for the night for $25 and then pick it up the next day very quickly. We dropped off our bags at the front desk. They have large bathrooms for changing off of the lobby. The room we had was smallish but very nice and clean. The bathroom was very clean and modern. The hotel had a nice area outside with live music to enjoy after skiing. The location is great right off from the main gondola. Would definitely stay here again.

Needs some maintenance (elevator) and carpet exchange, but overall is a good place

My boyfriend and I booked the Lodge at Vail for Jan 1-5 and were considering The Sebastian or this. While the Sebastian is beautiful and modern, the location of the Lodge at Vail makes it superior in my opinion. Lugging your ski gear around can be stressful, so staying right off the mountain makes is so much better (plus they have free ski valet at the base). They upgraded us to the luxury suite for an extra $200/ night which was well worth it. It included a living room with fireplace, large balcony with heated floors, and a nice sized bathroom. The spa was phenomenal and you are able to use the spa facilities for free as a hotel guest, including the steam and spa. My only drawbacks were the a la carte breakfast (buffet was good though) because service is slow. Also, checkin took some time but I was early. Overall, will definitely stay there again during ski season.

the location just a block from the village and right behind the slopes was perfect.

The Lodge is an established hotel and perhaps could use some upgrades but was not in bad shape. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only negatives were that valet parking is required and not complimentary and there is a mandatory resort fee of $20, which gets you some cookies and hot cocoa in the afternoon. The room was a bit warm in the evening and the ceiling fan was impossible to work. The control panel has 4-5 unlabeled buttons! The thermostat was not easy to understand either- just numbers 1-5, no choice of cool or warm. So we had to open the door and window for awhile. Rustica was very nice for breakfast and the waiter was friendly. He got my daughter chocolate sauce for her pancakes upon her request. Elway's was also good. The waitstaff were very attentive and the host remembered my name and asked me how my dinner was as we left. The location can't be beat- right next to the ski lift and the village, so we didn't need our car at all. I don't think it would be a good value if I had to pay full-price but with the discount it was definitely worth it!

We just finished an October vacation in Vail at the The Lodge, and it beat our expectations. Staying in Vail Village is highly recommended, as the town is beautiful and charming. It's easier to get to restaurants and has a wonderful, pedestrian-friendly street plan. The Lodge was an amazing experience. The entire staff was warm and welcoming. They were extremely knowledgeable about Vail and the surrounding area. The hotel has a heated pool and 2 hot tubs, which are very well-kept. The work-out facility is clean, special, and well-equipped. I'd definitely stay here again!

At that price point, it's truly hard to find a better place to stay the area. The staff is amazing and the 2BDRM was an incredible room.

We were really impressed with the staff and the efforts they made to greet us and make us feel welcome. The location and amenities were also great.

It was a very pleasant stay. The only objection that I had was that check in was not until 4pm (we arrived at 2pm) and had to wait. Also the staff were not as attentive as at other hotels in the Vail valley. One additional comment - Although the breakfast buffet was very good the pricing between the a la carte menu and the buffet is confusing. Also it would be nice if they added a bar for after skiling.
