We like the proximity to the slopes--ski in/ski out with just a very short walk across the little bridge and you can ski down to Centennial Lift. Walking distance to Beaver Creek Village with restaurants and shops. Underground parking and ski lockers are a plus. Wi-Fi is excellent. Has nice touches like a huge TV in the living room and comfy "throws." Kitchen has everything utensil you need and top-of-the-line appliances. Front desk staff are exceptional; excellent service. It is our second year to stay there. A five-star rating is a little overly generous because some things need to be refreshed/replaced (like at least one comforter), but overall, it was an excellent experience and we will be back again.
Our condo was spacious and comfortable with a nice view. It is ski in/ski out and close enough to the village to walk. If you don't want to walk, the free shuttle service will take you door to door. The loft was really a full extra bedroom with its own bath.
We decided to start our June 2-week National Park tour in Beaver Creek and decided on the Kiva due to word of mouth and great reviews. Kiva 435 was definitely the most luxurious of our 5 different locations where we stayed during our trip, and the price was very reasonable. Our twin boys enjoyed sharing the loft with their own bathroom. Our daughter called her room the princess suite since she had a TV and 2 double beds to herself. The master bedroom was huge and even had a balcony. My wife commented on the beautiful original works of art, and a big comfortable couch and chairs. About 7:00 a.m. I woke up and saw a moose walking down the street from the balcony - kids were able to see the moose, but we forgot to take photos. Technology was great at the Condo, we had movie channels, many regular channels, and were able to plug in a Roku for our kids to watch their preferred shows, and the internet was strong without any hassles. Our kids loved both the pool and the jacuzzi, and would jump from one to the other. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was awesome, and one of the reasons we chose this location. Location was great, we had Timberline Tours pick us up from the Kiva to take us White Water rafting, we loved being able to walk to the Beaver Creek shops and restaurants. Easy walk to the Beaver Creek trails. We would definitely stay there again.
We stayed in unit #435 in March 2018 with another couple and four kids. Great unit for families! The unit was very clean, up to date and had everything we needed. There was enough privacy for both couples while the kids had their own space. What totally spoiled us was the ski in/ski out. You were on the mountain in minutes! With lockers for all your gear down by the bridge to the mountains it was wonderful to not have to carry all your gear to your unit - we did bring our boots up to keep them dry and warm for the next day and there was room to store them out of the way. Not that this is huge for others, but I liked that there wasn’t clutter in the decorations - it was how I’d keep my own ski lodge. We were a quick 5 minute walk to the heart of BC or to hang out for ski apres at the Park Hyatt. There were two hot tubes, a sauna, everything you need to wind down after a great day of skiing. We loved that BC had everything Vail offers in shops and restaurants, but in a much more quaint and easy to get around set-up. And don’t forget to get your warm cookies as you wait to get on the lift! Wish we never had to leave and will definitely be back!
Wonderful location and very friendly staff. Even though our condo was by the elevator, we did not hear any noise. The staff was very responsive to any of our questions. Enjoyed being able to ski in to Kiva after a fun day on the slopes.
Kiva is a lovely boutique lodge with ski-in, ski-out access. Stayed for a week in February in #324, which was nicely up-dated and well-appointed, including an excellent Kitchen-Aid dishwasher (I detest staying in a place with a crummy dishwasher and dealing with spotted glasses, grimy flatware, etc.). The large beds were very comfortable (no one in our group slept in the top bunk, the lower bunk was okay). While skiing out does involve a very short walk over a slight incline (as noted in WabashDoc's review), it was not an issue (and I qualify for a senior lift ticket). The location is very convenient and returning to the condo for lunch or clothing adjustments was easy. The service was outstanding--every member of the staff was very helpful and extremely accommodating--it is a well-run property. Beaver Creek resort is top-notch. I have been skiing there since the early 1980s and have skied elsewhere in Utah, California, and Colorado, and Beaver Creek is by far the best (in my opinion). We plan to return to Beaver Creek next year and to the Kiva as well.
Stayed in Kiva 326. Perfect for our group of 8 men on our annual ski trip (year 42). The location close to the elevator was a plus as were the views (down valley) Varied bedding is a plus with a mens group. The most well-equipped kitchen we've ever had. Front desk staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Though the lodge is a bit dated, it is very convenient to the village and is ski-in, though not quite ski-out (a 50 yard walk up a gentle incline over the skier bridge). Parking garage is a challenge if you have a large SUV. Ski lockers and changing room are a plus.
Luxurious accommodations a short walk from the charming village and the lifts that open onto a fantastic network of trails and other lifts, three mountains' worth of skiing, We had a full kitchen, three full bathrooms, and two bedrooms. Lots of water pressure and hot , hot water. Once settled in, no need for a car--free shuttles provide transportation all through the resort and to Vail.
The Kiva is a fantastic boutique style of accommodation ski in ski out access to Hyatt Gym and Spa, close to Village and has bus on call to take you around the Village. Management and all staff are extremely helpful and accommodating to guests needs. Carpark is underground and assigned to each Condominium. Our Condo was well appointed with open wood fireplace. Kitchen had everything and more for a cook if required! Another bonus is there is a bus to Vail so you can utilise your ski pass at both resorts if you choose too. Excellent restaurant in the Village and Saddle Ridge just up the Road which is a wonderful historic and dinning experience a hidden gem!
A beautiful condo with in easy walking distance to downtown Beaver Creek. Great location for taking summer hikes and then walking to some great restaurants in the village. Kids enjoyed the quiet pool area.
