Front desk staff was polite and helpful. Room cleaning staff was thorough and effective. Room was small and showing signs of aging - door latch was balky, window tinting was peeling and clouded, dresser drawers were creaky/balky. It was functional/tolerable, just time for a re-do.
Property is an older property and doesn’t offer a lot of extras. Very good location for Mardi Gras if you don’t want to be in the “Quarter.”
Location was good for us, near walkable options and the trolley line. Room was not in good condition. Had not been cleaned that well beforehand; smelled somewhat of smoke, wallpaper was peeling, A/C vents were falling off

The cafe on the property is fabulous. The hotel did not provide service for cleaning my room, I had to ask for extra towels for a 3d stay. There is no late check out at the weekend.
The staff was very nice.. but the sink feel in the roof had mildew the carpet in the hallway smell bad
AC didn't work when we checked in on Saturday afternoon. Wasn't fixed by Sunday afternoon . 84 degrees in room. No one in management was available to deal with a large group of customers who were very unhappy. Poor girl at the front desk with no help was finally able to move us to a sister hotel. We got the last and worst room at the sister hotel. There was never any contact from Blake management regarding compensation or a refund of any type on our $500 a night room. They are obviously incompetent and don't care about customer satisfaction. Worst experience with a hotel in 40 years of traveling.
Thank you to everyone on the staff team... they truly are extremely welcoming and accommodating. For the price and location, this hotel is convenient to walking to the French Quarters and the path along the Mississippi River. Our room wasn't the most updated, but it was comfortable enough for us to sleep, shower, and rest. The plug in our bathroom wasn't working unfortunately. And the bathroom mirror had massive rust on it but that's not too bothersome. I used their gym and loved how it was 24 hours, with towels, wipes, and water dispenser. PLUS an great morning view of the city and the building. There aren't any mats, so either bring your own (if you can), or don't plan to do any floor exercises/yoga. Elevators in general scare me, and there are only two operating elevators here, one of each end of the building. the one closest to our room was small and would have a sudden stop at whatever level you're going on. Not luxurious at all, but the location is convenient, beds were comfy, and staff were so sweet... if this is all that you're looking for, then book this hotel! PS. microwave and refridgerator included, plus hair dryer and ironing board with iron... SMALL safe though... can't find much in there.
Nice place to stay great location
Canal street, bourbon street, casino, stadiums, convention center are all 12 minute walks or under. Nearby Dining options. Easy to get to. Very clean. Rooms are on the smaller side but i was only there to sleep and shower so for me it was fine. Great city views from room windows. Nice safe area
The customer service was terrible. The entire stay there was no phone service, no tv, and no working WiFi.

Property and rooms need updating. Only one elevator working during our trip, which led to long waits for the single elevator. Beds and bedding were lacking. Would not stay here again.
