older hotel staff was friendly and helpful clean rooms, but dated will stay again if in the area
The decor was very old. I did not pay a lot for the room, and it was not worth the amount of money. There was very little variety at the breakfast.
Thankful they had a King room with handicap accessible on the first floor. The Clerk who booked our room over the phone was professional and courteous. The Clerk who checked us in was friendly and efficient ... one of the easiest check-ins we have ever had. The Manager was very nice to talk to. We came for breakfast after 8:30 and there was only a small amount of scrambled eggs and gravy left in the warming dishes. The Manager assured us it was no problem to bring more if we wanted more than what was there. We said, 'Yes, please." And in moments he supplied all we needed. We were pleased with our room and the service we received.
The staff was very nice! however, the rooms need some tlc they are outdated and look a little run down.
I truly enjoyed my stay, the place is nice, gentleman at the front desk is very nice, and the bed was amazing! When I went to sleep I could of slept days - :)
AWFUL customer service from a front desk attendant who would not even offer her 1st name ("I don't have to provide that info."), & a manager that said my issue was "not his problem" & hung up on me. I cancelled my res. w/Wyndham 3 days prior to stay, hotel charged me for BOTH nights, when I called property their front desk employee "Molly" confirmed she saw it was cancelled but could not help (she was great otherwise); called Mgr. & he was horrible, kept being told by property & Wyndham to call the other one, still no resolution. Have stayed at this location twice, VERY dated, moldy smelling rooms, dirty carpets. Only 1 of 2 half-decent choice in Martin, TN but won't make that mistake again.
I enjoyed my stay at the Days Inn in Martin, TN. The stay was short but comfortable, affordable and served its purpose.
I know it's my fault that I mistakenly booked a room for August 25th. instead of this Friday, Sept 8th. but when I called the hotel to see if there was anything I could do, the attendant wasn't very friendly. Called the 800 # and waited for 10 minutes on hold with no answer. Not happy.
Pool was drained for maintenance in August - this was not mentioned at all during reservations or when I called to confirm reservation 3 days before stay. Room was in general disrepair. Had an adjoining room door which led to storage. Door on other side was locked, but I could see the concrete, unfinished floor under my side of the door, felt the draft, and there was a hole in the wall near the trim that you could see through to storage room. Back side of bathroom door had small hairs all over it. Breakfast was very limited, no waffles as it suggested by pictures on their website. Front counter staff friendly. Parking lot was easily accessible and level. I appreciated having a microwave and refrigerator in the room.
When I got to he room the AC was off, and the thermostat said it was 88 degrees in the room. Turn the AC on high and went to dinner. On my way I asked the office to check it out. It was only down to 84 when I came back 2 hours later. Asked the owner to look at it and said it was fine, I shouldn't expect it to be cool. With the air on high cool and fan, the room was only 75 the next morning. The units face east west, if you want a cool room in the summer, ask for a room on the east side.
