The setting is beautiful, on the edge of Lake Victoria. The rooms are incredibly clean and the staff is very efficient and friendly.
This is a lovely property with so much potential but you will still leave disappointed. It is well situated on the lake and the grounds are well kept. The facilities are a bit dated and my room was a fair treck away from anything given the size of the property. The food selection at the only restaurant open was very disappointing (European and Indian) with really no local food. That didn't matter though because there was only a 50% chance of getting what you ordered even when you pointed to the menu. The restaurant staff are beyond incompetent and really couldn't care less. They seem to have no training and no concept of service which is just unacceptable at the rates you are paying. There was also no internet for two of the 4 days I was there. All in all a disappointment.
