I normally stay at Marriott properties but chose the Mercure due to proximity of the Nijmegen train station. The room was a good value but the staff was incredibly warm and very service oriented from all aspects including check in, restaurant and guest services. I would highly recommend this property for anyone staying in the area.
Classy hotel, just steps away from the Central train station. Was inexpensive too. Very nice inside.
The hotel is next to the Nijmegen train station, so you can't beat the convenience getting to/from the Amsterdam airport and other locations. The restaurant is very good, though the breakfast buffet is a bit pricey for what you get. If all you want/need is coffee with some fruit or a pastry, check out one of several places in the train station next door. Great wine selection in the dining room. Cozy bar. Nice staff. Free wifi. Rooms are typically European (small, spartan), but clean and comfortable.
