Helpful staff, great amenities, amazing experience.

The room itself was fine. Small kitchenette, comfortable bed and clean. When we went to check in, there was a sign on the door that said the lobby was closed and to go next door to the neighboring hotel. They checked us in and dealt with a problem with the key card efficiently. On the Orbitz site it said that there was a free breakfast with this hotel. The neighboring hotel did not honor this and the staff said they had supposedly taken that option down from the Orbitz site.

Clean and tidy Helpful staff. Good location with supermarket next door

Was hesitant to stay here because Americas Best Value Inn is normally a very cheap, gross, and outdated hotel (at least in St. Louis). However, this one wasn't so bad! It was outdated but not run down like other ones I've stayed at. Bathroom was nice and clean. Also can't beat the price!

Great location if your going to Joshua tree. New hotel great beds very clean. No breakfast unless u pay six bucks so that was a bit of a bummer. No staff on scene had to check with the roadway in next door

We just stayed while my son was getting out for a few days from his MOS training. Headed to the mountains to ski for a day or two. Hotel could've had a few more amenities like food and beverage available.

They were reallt nice and the rooms were newly remodeled. I woukd stay there again

Everything was fine until the morning camr, then that's when the knocks at the door were nonstop, even tho I'd already told the maid yes were checking out and that wed be leaving soon they just kept on coming. That's the only thing I had a problem with. Other than that everything was fine.

It's ok overall but I definitely don't feel so good or welcomed as a guest or even a paying customer when I'm there and I've given it more than one chance too

Great place to stay if visiting Joshua Tree NPS. Good location, near grocery; food and gas. Price was right esp. Since purchased thru !; large rooms; fridge; micro; comfy beds; prk'g; wi-fi. Showers were loud but worked w/ good pressure; front desk use was odd cause it was shared w/ hotel next door but once we figured that out, it was fine. Checkout was confusing: my reservation paper stated check out was 12...maid knocked on our door at 1030 n 11 and asked if we were leaving? Both times we stated yes; then she said checkout was 11 and we needed to be out now. I called front desk and they confirmed 11 checkout unless i booked online then it was noon. CRAZY. They need to get it straight. Overall i would stay here again.

Paper thin walls, no staff and really an very ordinary experience. For $59.00 what do you want? The basics.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, but I especially liked the large handicapped- accessible bathroom with hand-held shower at no extra charge It made our stay very easy. We also appreciated the continental breakfast, and all for just $60.00 with no hidden fees. The only improvements they could have made would be a taller toilet and towel racks near the basin. We were very impressed that such pleasant accommodations were so affordable.

The hotel is very basic: old tv, old ac/heat system, no breakfast on site. What was most disappointing is that I expect a savings when I book thru an online company, but the $59.95 a nite was the same price as the sign on the street in front of the hotel. The staff did not speak English well, which we didn't find out till we returned to our room at the end of the day when the 2 requests we had were not done. Also, when we returned to our room after hiking all day, we discovered they had changed our locks so that our keys no longer worked. Not a big deal, but annoying when the lobby is at the other end of the hotel and you're tired. The hotel was not even close to half full but they fpu everyone in rooms next to each other so it flet like you had to whisper to avoid bothering other guests.

It was nice for the time that I was there. Coffee was really good. I didn't realize it would have a fridge & a microwave in the room. That was a nice surprise. TV remote wasn't working real good, but I didn't say anything because it wasn't important to me. I would stay again if I go back to 29 Palms.

So I was not expecting much from reading other reviews. The price and location were good for my triip around the Joshua Tree ares. First, check in with the friendly staff on the property next door. Second, the room was cooling before I arrived which was a good thing in the hot desert. I was clean and everything looked new. Fresh linens, clean towels, etc. Third, houseeping. When I came back from a day out the only thing they had done was empty the trash. Otherwise the room was exactly as I had left it. (Okay, so I did leave it neat to start.) They did not even make the bed. So, if you want a nice place to rest, don't mind pickup up after yourself, and need to be undisturbed, I say stop here.

The hotel and room itself or good for a weekend stay if you are visiting family or touring the area. I found it convenient that they have a microwave and mini fridge. There are also a small pool, small fitness center, and laundry. What I disliked was the reservations. I made a reservation the day of and tried to cancel it a few hours later. I couldn't because of the cancellation policy, so I decided to use my reservation. I arrived and they couldn't find my reservation and I had no room assigned so I thought I would stay at my friend's house instead. They said they didn't have my reservation in the system. Then they found they had put my credit card ready to be charged for the room but didn't assign me a room. I'm glad they had a vacancy that night.

I was shocked to see how good the room was when I first opened the door. For $60 a night, you'd expect a lot less. The room was clean, did not smell bad, and was all around a great deal. The walls are a little thin so we could hear our neighbors, but I was so tired from hiking in Joshua Tree that I slept pretty soundly. They even have fresh cookies baked in the hotel lobby, so make sure to take advantage of that! I'd definitely recommend this hotel, but it is a bit sterile, as in, it's a standard hotel with not a lot of character. On my next trip to Joshua Tree I will most likely be booking a room at the Harmony Motel if I don't camp. It has great charm and is only a little more expensive. However, this hotel was a great deal and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Relocated across the country and decided to stay here while we waited out the final days before we could move in our new house. Stayed for 5 days and the only complaints I had were about the neighbor's loud television. Everything else was up to par for the amount we spent.

Convenient location, good price, clean room. No breakfast though.

Rooms are large with a refrigerator, microwave, & coffee pot. The room was clean and everything worked.
