Spacious room but outdated room. Lots of noises like door shutting being quite loud. Bathroom not very clean. The shower has good water pressure though. Small reception. Parkinf available in the are. Breakfast is average.
As a touring musician I've been very lucky to stay in many great hotels, many of those being in the Netherlands. Given my providing my own special tea, I was very surprised that I was asked to pay full price for a glass of hot water & a drop of milk. No sensible discourse followed, just a indignant & unfriendly refusal to acknowledge that as a paying guest of the hotel I might be offered some reasonably considered measures. No manager to talk to. An awful & uncomfortable experience.
We had booked the room for 2 nights (one from kruidvat coupon and the normal one). When we reached the hotel, we got a warm welcome from the hotel staffs. The room we got from the coupon was supposed to be a nicer room but without breakfast and the normal one was with breakfast. The receptionist merged both offers and provided us the normal room with both days breakfast. Wow. When we reached the room we found the twin beds with no chance of getting together... whole night i was in between the two mattresses. The tv remote was not working so we asked to change the batteries but it still didnt work. We let it go. Next day we asked to change the mattress or give us the other room. The hotel staff said she will fix it but till the evening no one came..not even for room service. Next day was the check out day. We had yo do packing and all so we reached the breakfast hall at 10:15am just to see no food available except some breads and cornflakes. One of the staff came and told us we cannot have breakfast.. we had to tell about her colleague merged the offer. It was so embarrassing as if we were there for free food. The coffee was just luke warm.. the milk was already tattered so we could not have the corn flakes also. Having a big name they cannot provide any quality service. The price you pay for the room is too high regarding the location and the service. 1 star only for the welcoming staffs. I totally not recommend this hotel to anyone.
We spent 3 nights in this hotel after someone recommended it to us (!). Our first impression was not a good one. It sits in a residential area of town. We had to walk around the bar/reception area for a while for someone to serve us - not a good sign. What can I say? The fake leather was peeling of the bar seats. The drab decor was the same throughout the hotel, predominantly brown. The brown carpet was dirty and fraying all over the place, with here and there big stains of dried food (maybe worse!). Paint and wallpaper was chipped off corners, etc. Our room was large. That was its only plus. The bathroom was too dark, there was no light on the mirror area, just ceiling lights. The windows were dirty. I have never been in a room where our things became dusty as quickly as in this hotel. The first morning at breakfast, the coffee was lukewarm and we had to ask for fresh. We seriously considered searching for a different hotel but gave up on the idea because we had paid in advance and because we did not want to waste our precious holiday time searching for an alternative. We hired bikes at the hotel and they were the only things there that were actually new! Staff were very friendly, but apart from that, I could not honestly recommend this hotel to anyone. Shame on you, Fletcher!
The hotel is set in a nice quiet area of the village, short walk to the Main Street. Big windows in the bedroom makes the room light and airy. Clean and tidy room. Couple of niggles, could hear the guest in the next room sometimes and the creaking floor boards. Wifi was fine in the room, I was in a room facing the street. Friendly helpful staff
The first thing I remember about this hotel is their apple pie. I enjoyed it tremendously, because when we arrived we were hungry for sweets. We were trying to finish an assignment for school and the beautiful decor helped us relax and concentrate. The rooms were ok, but when I opened the curtains I immediately closed them, because the garden was untended and the fountain/water was dirty.
Very nice room, 204 in the tower that was once the bridal suite. toilet is cramped but usable.TV is too small for the location as it is far from the bed. One needs binoculars to see something. restaurants are very nice and the food is very good with a view over the street in front.
A one night business stop here. The hotel is set in an immaculate residential area of the village. Simple but stylish and the room was scrupulously clean and very bright with huge windows and a balcony. Free wifi - which is always appreciated - but the signal strength although ok in the lobby was weak in my room. Didn't dine in the restaurant but breakfast was very adequate. And the best bit was the corporate rate of €64 which I felt was excellent value. Overall very good and in some ways I preferred this hotel to the much posher Uitkijk, the other option in town.
Nice hotel, parking next to hotel. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, free use of WiFi. Helpful and nice staff.
